The 2014/15 Calcio Saga III - Page 19 Empty Re: The 2014/15 Calcio Saga III

Post by Robespierre Mon Apr 27, 2015 1:15 pm

Napoli is in an unreal moment , exactly when they are going to fight for EL title , athletic preparation built for it . They're the favorite for Europa League imo , more than Sevilla... Uefa Cup historically has a recent tradition of finals between Italian teams, Juventus-Fiorentina ('90) , Inter-Roma ('91), Juventus-Parma ('95) , Inter-Lazio ('98) and it was close to have an Emiliano derby in ' 99  but Bologna bottled it against O.Marsellle to '90 Crying or Very sad  and so O.Marseille was trashed by Parma for 3-0 , so it would be nice to watch again an Italian final as Napoli-Fiorentina, it'd be as being back old times. I believe in this chance , Fiorentina won't be the bad team watched yesterday , their head in on Europa League.
The fact to give a CL place to winner it stimulated very much Italian teams to give everything for this cup.
Fiorentina has simply realized it is definitely easier to go in CL with EL because it 'd be just 3 matches now than league

p.s. Justice for the Eagle.

BC excited atm as during the derby River-Boca imo.

Ventura is quietly turning this team into the next Atleti, from complete jokes to European superhouses. :coffee:

Juve, Roma, and Lazio all lose points today. What does Napoli do? Losing 0-1 right now at home. Albiol

Definitely converted to Ventura hype me too
He is making an amazing job with Torino.
He is giving again DIGNITY to a  historic team as Torino.
Torino fell from 2nd half of 90's  and 2000's year in absolute dullness. Relegations and when they came back in Serie A their league at best were WBA-esque, suffered salvations , horrid football , scrub players , humiliations during the derbies. It is not just a matter of losing the derbies, Torino DIDN'T SCORE A GOAL  in a derby for long 10 years.  Not , just a moment, not even WBA fans get  similar crap.
Ventura brought back Torino in Serie A after mediocre leagues in Serie B , brought Torino to play  finally good leagues, not a suffered and gray salvation but even in Europe or fought to get it , taken the Torino to win at Bilbao, got a victory in derby after 20 years.
His job can be underrated just for who doesn't know what was the Torino badly in last 20 years. It was basically the saddest team of Europe , hardly a Torino fan could have a joy . This year Bilbao and Juventus are worthy of 1 whole decade.
TBF his football regressed, the prime Ventura played a beautiful football ( Bari played better than Torino definitely) , now Ventura became a manager more " Italian" , still remind when he won us at San Siro parking the bus for 94' minutes and scoring in last shot on corner kick .. he began to privilege the defence too but you have your cake and eat it too ... If you want to get similar results with Torino you can't play with your old 4-2-4 ffs
He avoids questions about his future because he hasn't still decided if staying or not to Torino , he is a proud Sampdoria fan and the chance to manage it ( Mihajlovic will have the Doriani)  entices it.

Auto-correct on the phone... trips me up all the time.

"Why is Inter assigned 3 stars (difficult) but better teams only 2 (medium)?"

By better teams I of course mean Torino :coffee:

Juventus could have sections of their stadium closed if it turns out that their fans put a "paper bomb" in the Torino fan section during the derby.

Is a "paper bomb" the name given to collection of Juve fans' essays about why Calciopoli was a conspiracy? That's annoying, but it probably doesn't warrant stadium closure.

First one compares how effective forwards are at creating chances vs scoring goals. Forwards in the upper right quadrant are good at both scoring and creating.

Second one compares chance creation to balls recovered. Midfielders in the upper right quadrant are good at both creating and defending, making them very complete.

So for example Marchisio creates 1 chances per 90' and 'steals' 15 balls?

But Pirlo creates 2.1 chances and 'steals' 12 balls O.o ?

Yeah. I'm not sure what "recovered balls" means. Probably interceptions + successful tackles.

That's weird, Cigarini seems to be the most complete and best CM in Serie A this season according to this.

They're recent, the midfielder one is about two weeks old, while the striker one came out yesterday

The author claims that that balls recovered 'is getting the ball back from the opposition, via either a tackle, or interception' the stats that he's used comes from the Serie A website (So its not opta, whoscored, transfermarkt, etc) any other queries see here

Since Lord Spencer wrote that thread about ultras, they are giving their worse Very Happy
Yes, there is a clear problem about it as LS said . Credit to him for the thread..
But for me it 's just as bad also (and maybe even worse ) the way to manage the situation by Italian State and this was always .
It's basically useless to do 1000 laws " ad hoc" expressly for ultras , it doesn't resolve the problem and it damages the entire fanbase community. Because I can't go for an away match of my team because it is forbidden because of ultras...
If there is a  brawl at bar, the Parliament does not make a law against the bar . But simply the wrongdoers, the guilts of that brawl will be punished. This should be same thing for ultras.
If the State is not able to enforce own laws already exsisting, then it means it's not a good State.
