No expectations.
Though i'd like to see the team play with Enrique and Sakho in the side and Henderson and Gerrard rested.
New stuff.

Seriously though, I don't care if Sturridge is available or not. This is Crytal *bleep* Palace ffs. One of the worst teams in the league. If we can't beat them without Sturridge specially after what they did last year, every one at the club should lose their jobs and we should be relegated.

This.
This is Crystal Palace. Indeed one of the worst squads in the league. A club who were so skint in the summer that their Manager of the Season manager walked away before the season started. We, on the other hand, have spent some £100m. We cannot be happy with anything other than a win.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Game day... Excitement creeping in... Usually it starts before the actual game day, but better late than never...
Let's just go and win this, honestly. It's been a bad start to the season, but other teams' struggles mean that win here and we'll be tied for points with Arsenal and Everton and only two points off fourth.
We're better than Palace and let it show today and inject some hope in our season.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
I have zero excitement for this. So underwhelmed after such a long international break. Just hope we win whichever way possible because it's *bleep* Crystal Palace.
Deep down I expect us to be shit again as usual this season with Rodgers making the same stupid decisions and the team creating *bleep* all the whole game.
Really hope I'm wrong.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Lambert's chance to play as the lone striker, maybe he'll have better instincts for that than Balotelli, then.
It still looks like a 4-3-3, but at least we'll have a ball-carrier in Lallana in the midfield trio. Btw, would have started Can instead of Allen. Emre scored against Chelsea, doesn't deserve to be dropped.
Well, I'm hopeful. If Lallana plays well in midfield and Lambert re-discovers his goal-scoring ways of his earlier years, we could play well here.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Why is Coutinho playing? It pretty much makes him redudant if you play a immobile striker upfront.

The form COutinho has showed, nothing makes him redundant, especially when compared to our other players.
But if Cou and Raheem are hugging the sidelines again then it's just

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
1 - 1 @ HT
The ex-Southampton duo gave us a dream start, but we've done fak all since then. The third ex-Soton player again with some comical defending in their goal, facing our own goal when he should have been stepping up to close down Bolasie. Don't know what Gerrard was doing, either.
I'd take off Allen's corpse for Can and maybe take Sterling off for Borini and play the diamond. Sterling's been a bit off-form recently, including this game. Then again, our whole attacking game is looking desperate.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
We just can't create shit Outside the goal not a single clear cut chance.
Plenty of possession and nothing to show for it. Bolasie is killing it for Palace. If he was a better finished we'd be down by 2 goals right now. Hs's getting so many runs in behind.

Re: Crystal Palace v Liverpool
any manager should be hanged to death to allow their players to play like this defensively, the midfielders are pressing crazily and the defenders leave so much distance, and all the time they just retract, retract and retract. No one has any f**** clue, where they should be when the opposition has the ball.
This same shit keeps on repeating, that is the biggest problem in our defense.
Sterling should come off, Borini in place of Sterling.
