Take away Hazard's final season at Lille, which is stupid considering Ligue 1 is a defensive League that hasn't had a golden boot winner in years ( look at Falcao and Cavani struggling while Ibra still has similar numbers to his time in Italy) he still comes out on top.

Lol, Falcao was shit even before the ACL injury, he scored only 9 goals in 16 starts and about 4 or 5 of those goals were penalties.

Cavani has been pretty lackluster. Even when Ibra's been out injured he's been generally poor. 16 goals is pretty shit for someone who scored 29 goals the previous season. You would expect better numbers since the League is apparently "scrubby".

Like I said. Ligue 1 is a very tough defensive League which is why players usually tend to fare well once they move abroad.

Di Maria found his ideal position in those 6 months, which is why he started playing better. Now that he's found his position, there is/was no reason to sell him.

Look at the stats. Hazard is miles better. I'm going to be bumping these posts one by one when Eden outperforms Alexis and Di Maria this season.

A player who is having his 3rd season in the PL could outperform those who are either still adjusting or who haven't even signed.

Perez also didn't like Makelele, doesn't really mean much to not be wanted by the likes of him. Also, consistently playing top level football at the highest stage will do that to your reputation. Just a thought.

It's true, Cavani has had a rough time in France. Even when he is scoring, his performances are still average. He doesn't play wide, he rarely gets the ball on the wing anyways. He gets a lot of space to roam which is what he likes and he is not performing to show why PSG spent so much on him.

I can't say that I've seen so much of Falcao at Atlético apart from bigger matches, but with his reputation he has been very unimpressive in Ligue 1. Even before his injury. He's invisible for 80% of the match.

He is a poacher. That's what poachers do. They are invisible and then score out of nowhere.

But he is truly awful in these matches, where even if he gets a goal, it is still not enough from a player of his quality. It is clear that he is suffering due to the league even though it is weaker in quality than La Liga. But he is contributing nothing, it is not acceptable for a player of Falcao's standard in Ligue 1.

Of course they can still be out of form, but generally speaking, that's when they have gone a few games without scoring a goal. That's because no one expect a poacher to dribble players after players, or being great at link-up play. And that's because people expect much less from a poacher than almost any other player on the pitch.

I mean, if Messi would be have just a simple poacher, everyone would have said that Messi had one of the all time great individual season last year, seeing as he scored 28 goals in 31 games(on top of that 11 asist) and 8 goals in 8 games in the CL. But because people expect much more from Messi, he had a "shit" season in most people's opinion.
