AC Milan signs Agazzi
AC Milan wishes to communicate the signing of Michael Agazzi on a contract which runs to 30 June 2017.
--------------------
A free transfer which serves no other purpose than allowing us to get rid of Amelia. Hopefully he can challenge Abbiati for a spot in the first team next season to justify his arrival. In any case, at least we have done this quickly so the fans can forget pipe dreams such as Perin and Marchetti. Hopefully our next move shows a bit more ambition.
In any case, good luck and welcome to Michael Agazzi.

Re: AC Milan signs Agazzi
First Abbiati renew his contract... now Agazzi... All that in two days. Impressive.
...
Now excuse me while i kill myself , i have so much to write in my goodbye letter to the world
I think i may start with , I had a good life . But Galliani won . It's a decent opening i think

Re: AC Milan signs Agazzi
It took me too long to accept that and realise it. I don't have much left to continue now , though. The Agazzi move finished me.
The reaper of all hope , the master of free signings & loans with option to buy , Galliani will win against every fan in the end . Good luck from now on to all Milan fans , i have been beaten to the overlord of deception and deceit , i can take no more

Re: AC Milan signs Agazzi
From the other thread in the GS.
Given the fact that Amelia is set to depart, we did need a more experienced back-up than Gabriel given that the youngster does not have the trust of Seedorf. Hopefully next season when Abbiati retires we can launch a bid for a more experienced Perin who won't have to suffer the immediate pressure of getting Milan back up the table and into Europe.
dostoevsky wrote:Solid but unspectacular is indeed the best description of Agazzi. It's disappointing in the context of a longer search to replace Abbiati which such a move surely postpones. Agazzi is much like Storari in that he represents a dependable option that provides a secure head at the back for the majority of a club's matches during a season, each of which are not crucial on an individual basis. One however would never want to rely upon them to save the team come crunch time in a big match.

Re: AC Milan signs Agazzi
That's a good notion mate , but i cannot help my rage .
I know it's only about Serie A next season and supposedly , easier for Abbiati with less physical pressure and softer for Agazzi to settle with only Serie A games at hand , but it is so dissapointing to accept. So same old , same old , mediocre.
I mean , i know it right now that in our most important games Abbiati will let us down , like he did for almost 2/3 this season. Only when everything was lost , or almost lost and the pressure got off of him , he found "form" again.. before that , he was a disaster almost every single game. As for Agazzi , i can barely say anything about him , but let's face it , even if he's decent for Serie A week in week out , he will still be 2nd choice and we will still suck on the field under the posts. Not even sure i would have him in front of Abbiati , tbh , though i do hope he has in him more than what is known of him . I will keep my money for the time being though , he's just your next goalkeeper as of now.
As for the rest , i hope you are right because , it's not exactly set in stone that we will get Perin either , let's not forget that .

According to stats, he's the worst GK in Serie A

Re: AC Milan signs Agazzi
The stats in this case are a tad deceiving, he's spent his time recently at very poor teams in which he gets little protection. He's certainly not a top goalkeeper within Serie A, however he's not the worst by a long shot, just based on an eye test.
Kind of sad that Napoli possess two goalkeepers better than our first choice though.

I know right
Whatever , Milan bs have gone through the stratosphere , it's unreal at this point . I even expected this exact scenario and now that it happened , i can't even help myself .
I only need to read that Matri will stay for next season and some free scrub will replace Rami after we failed to sign him whilst we had first option and i am beggining that letter

I knew he retired from playing tennis a few years ago, but I didn't know that he had become a GK. Is he going to the WC with the US?

My prediction is between 1 and 1.5 million after tax. As a player not guaranteed a role in the starting line-up and arriving without much of a reputation it would be difficult to see him commanding any more than this, but his age alone should guarantee at least 1 million.
