Should be an easy win for us.
Rest Alonso and play Illara in his spot and hopefully Isco and Casemiro get some minutes.

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
Both Xabi and Carvajal are suspended iirc
we should field a team which we will start with vs Barca minus carvajal and xabi of course. Jese's injury has created so many problems for us

_____________Casillas
Nacho____Varane____Ramos____Coentrao
_____________Casimero
_______Isco____________DiMaria
Bale__________Benzema_________Morata
We must win all games, so why not go all attack, we learned the best way to defend is attack against dortmund.
Illara is shit.

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
Diego Lopez is keeper for La Liga.
Is Arbeloa still injured? I'd love to see Ramos at RB, Varane and Pepe as CB.
I want Casemiro over Illara and minutes for Morata.
Make it happen Carlo

This game should really be a warm-up for the Copa final.
Bale and Benzema should look to slay these guys and bring some momentum to the Copa game.

Normal Setup, Isco on the left.
Of all people, right about now, I want back Khedira lol.

Ah I keep forgetting the final is Wednesday.
So I understand the need for our normal setup.

Didn't Ancelotti say he'll start Casillas if we qualify to the semis of the CL?

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
We saw a different dimension to illaramendi's game
He did everything Alonso would do today and more
He was aggressive, constantly tracking back, playing those long low passes that join the central midfield to the attack, dribbled his way out of danger, something Alonso can never do
Man of the match for me
But!! It was against Almeria, a team that offered no pressure
He has been doing that all small-games long
Illara, alongside Bale are small game monsters, big game flops.
He needs to do it in the big matches before he can comfortably take alonso's position

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
Did someone notice more fluidity in our game in the absence of ronaldo?
A fluidity I have never seen in madrid's matches before
A game in which all four goals came from build-ups and not just winning the ball back and playing on the counter.
Since 2011, I ave been praying for an EL Clasico without ronaldo.
I will finally get to see one.
I predict madrid keeping possession intelligently and carving out chance after chance because what you need to beat barca is either a perfect counter (which we don't have) or a patient build up.

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
It was a great game where we patiently waited for chances, passing the ball really well. Liked what I saw but it was Almeria, lets not get ahead of ourselves
Nacho has been extraordinary this season whenever he was given a chance. Props to him for staying focused eventhough he knows he will never be first choice
Bale has got to get involved in the build up more, he is improving so I will wait. Benz and finishing he will need to do better if we are to win trophies this season.
DiMaria seems to have gotten over his gastroenteritis which is good because we will need him in top form on Wednesday. I prefer Dimaria in the midfield and isco lw because when isco tucks in dimaria can target alves, dont think bale will trouble him. But we will see

Lol.
It was Almeria.
The games against Dortmund and Sociedad are all there for people to see.

Lets just hope your wish of not having Ronaldo won't come back and haunt you.

@izzy
Yes, it was almeria but even against the almerias, we dint do this.
The thing was that no one was looking for glory, it was just about getting the ball in the net, no matter who.
And why r u talking about sociedad, we beat them 4-0 and played well
Dortmund match was horrible this season but so was it last season.
Am just curious and I believe things would go well.
Dat back-hell pass from morata to benzema..and dat skillful pass from benzema to bale in d first half *bowing down*

@falcaopunch
Now I see someone that agress with me but it just sounds insane and disrespectful to think that our best player/current balon d'or winner could actually be a liability at times.
You wana see it to buy u don't wana admit so they don't crucify you too if it goes wrong...
Let's be bold, I av so much confidence it would turn out good.
Any brain freeze from a player in defense or midfield like the pepe and illara situation doesn't count

I'm pretty sure that we beat Almeria at their home 5-0 or something this season.

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
morata is picking up his form. matured display yesterday, he can actually act as another good attacking option instead of 'give youngster some minutes' thingy.
would like to see varane-pepe again.

No way. Almeria's defense and midfield cover was shocking. It had nothing to do with CR.
Against barca, we will be the same but without CR making runs into open space; barca can play a high line against us, even with that pathetic defense. i dont trust bale to make good runs and isco is a snail

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
I agree with that. Without Ronaldo we would find it hard to find someone making runs, amazing how we have the perfect guy on the bench who would make runs until Macherano decided enough is enough and made something stupid. But knowing Carlo Morata is probably going to get only 5 minutes on the wings no less where he would be useless
Barca are down right now, we have got to capitalise especially with no weekejd game to think of

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
exactly! we dont have someone to make those runs which means our midfielders would not always be forced into trying to make impossible passes just to get the ball the that player making all those runs.
it would make them think and be more creative.
we are so used to making hurried decisions with the intention of just getting the ball to the man making the run.
we can do it.

Re: Real Madrid vs Almeria discussion
Except our players don't think like that.. and they never will. Di maria is a final pass guy. Modric is a player who takes extra touches to thread those final passes. Xabi alonso, for a player so deep, always puts those hollywood balls on a plate for cr or plays it long.
