No idea what exactly Kloppo is planning, but Dong-Won Ji sure made an impact with Dortmund already when he scored against them for Augsburg two or so weeks ago ^^

I think it's safe to say they'll likely get another, more high profile, replacement fo Lewa, and also it's good for them to have more depths upfront than Schieber..

Well, first he is a real steal for only 2.5 mio Euros and then Schalke can always use some more depth in the attack department.

And "afford a better player" - Schalke still have to get rid of some debts from the Magath era, and they try to make some sensible business, so they will not try to buy expensive players just because they are expensive. I think it is a fallacy to think that a player is automatically better because he costs more - he needs to fit in a team, too (both wages-wise and chemistry-wise and he has to want to go there, of course).

Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Maxwell has agreed a one-year contract extension with the club.

The Brazilian defender's previous deal was set to expire this summer but he will remain at the Parc des Princes for at least another season.

“PSG are is pleased to announce the one-year extension of the contract of Maxwell to 2015,” les Parisiens confirmed via their official Twitter account.

Maxwell, who arrived in the French capital from Barcelona in 2012, played a major part in helping PSG claim the Ligue 1 title last season and is on course to collect another winners' medal this term, with Laurent Blanc's men currently five points clear at the top of the table.

The versatile left-back declared: "I am very proud of the president Nasser Al Khelaifi's confidence in me.

"I will continue to give my all for the club and our supporters to pay back this confidence."
