Dat midfield trio of De Rossi, Strootman, and Pjanic is sooooo sexy it's unreal.:bow:
Totti Proud
Benatia, without a doubt the best signing of the summer :bow::bow:

Appreciation threads like this make me nervous.

We still have Napoli next weekend ffs and Udinese away after that.

I like Roma, always have.

But let's wait until they've faced the other Scudetto contenders.

Considering the best opposition has been Inter and they were missing their 2 best defenders.

This.

Inter were the first team we've beaten that I haven't considered utter scrubs.

Napoli are Rudi's next biggest test. Then there's still Milan, Juve and Fiorentina as well.

We still got some work to do and I do not consider us scudetto contenders right now. The aim is still for a CL place at best and an EL place at worst.

I understand this logic, but in reality how we do against the other top teams doesn't matter if we finally manage to maintain our consistency against the teams we should get 3 points from.

The "United" method works in every league. Get all of the available points from the bottom 13 teams in your league and most likely you will be in title contention at the end of the season.

If we can get any points from Juventus and Napoli than that's just gravy.

Yeah but there's no short supply of other teams who can do that anyway

Juve we've been grinding out results for 2 years every time we look to drop points we don't

Napoli are good in this aspect too

There's 6 points up for grabs from each of these dangerous teams

Juve
Milan
Napoli
Fiorentina
Udinese
Lazio

And we need to wait to see how Roma will do in such cases.

Impossible to not love this team.

Oh god what a game against Napoli it will be!

Still think they will eventually choke though, unfortunately Sad

Amazing to hear the "Roma Roma" song from the away supporters at the Meazza.

And for Inter fans; I think the change of intro song is not a bad idea, the Pazza Inter Amala surely is nice, but the new one is perhaps more passionate and easier to sing along to?

This. So long as Roma keep winning the games they should be winning it doesn't matter if they lose the games vs Juve and Napoli.

Best team between the top 5 leagues, Totti is unreal. The man deserves a callup fo Brazil 2014. 7 wins out of 7 for them, better than Napoli tbh. Napoli still look fragile at the back, meanwhile Roma conceded only 1 goal since the start

Top 3 is between, Napoli, Juve, Roma and Inter. Fio got an injury crisis going on, Udi will get EL, we're shit and Lazio haven't been that good

Bravo Roma

I just want this team to keep playing the way they have so far this season, regardless of the results.

What must not go unnoticed here is that this is a Roma side that hasn't been this united in years. Just look at how every player who scores gets absolutely mobbed by his teammates. This is simply not something we saw much in recent years. Garcia has done more than tactically goating with this team. He's shown himself to be a great man manager and motivator. He's instilled a will for these guys to run themselves into the ground for each other. If we get anything out of this season, this will be the reason just as much, if not more, than our overall game.

Roma success sofar clearly shown 1 thing, Garcia is excellent coach who's capable of bring the best out of his players, similar to Guidolin. Wenger failed with Gervais who found his form again under Garcia. Rami being a dick at Valencia, Hazard has not yet become 2nd coming Zidane ( he will so clam down Chelsea fans), several Roma players who looked like cbf last year, run their socks off for the team this year.

Now I got a question to Roma fans specifically. From what I've seen defense and midfield picks itself every time. However from the seven matches so far it looks like Rudi likes to rotate the front 3. He's given multiple starts to Gervinho, Borriello, Florenzi, and Ljajic. Now Totti is too godly to be dropped, and I think Florenzi is another who is justifiably almost always on the team sheet. So what would you say your best front 3 is with everyone fit and firing? Specifically against a stronger team?

They've dominated every opposition so far.20 goals scored to 1 goal conceded is simply an outstanding start. They've always been an attacking side but the big difference in this current side is how they've defended as a unit.If you look at that backline ,there's not a big difference in personnel from last year.Part of it has been down to the really strong midfield too.
They're shaping up nicely as a team. They look like more of a 'team' than ever before.

Still think it will go tits up for them this season.

I remember Mainz having a start like this in Germany a few years back, never amounted to anything.

You cant lose players of the quality of Lamela & Marquinhos and not feel the effects at some point imo.
