To be honest none of algeria is arab genetically but a small portion. They are however Mediterraneans so they share similarities with lebanese, turks, italians.. etc etc.

My family is of mostly berber but some, if negligible, arab descent as well. Berbers can pass for arabs and vice versa. even ibrahim fking afellay can pass in lebanon to an extent

algeria is as african as russia is asian or as mexico is north american, or as turkey is european... in other words, only by name.

Zidane shouldn't be considered as African , in this case.

Has he played for Algeria , he wouldn't have won the euro and WC , which are a big part of his legacy.

Therefore he wouldn't be even considered as a GOAT. Just a great player at best
