RM just signed a young GK of Belgium decent.
His name is Alex Craninx, he is 15 and measures a ridiculous 1.91m
Another talented GK in the factory

Well, the kid is talented, and he plays beyond his years at the moment.
He scores goals with RM youth teams for fun, and his skill level is very high.
His ability to run circle around defenders, while being a ruthless finisher is what is attracting all those english clubs.

Re: Castilla Thread
Yeah Pozo is one of the best in his age group for sure. I suspect he's getting attention because he killed it during the U17 club world cup even though he was one of the youngest players there (15). He's been with us since the Infantil B so he's Madridista through and through.
He's currently in the Cadete A side and if he does well this year will probably make the jump to Juvenil B or even A.
If he does well he should be in Castilla in 2 to 3 years. (provided he doesn't sign for some English club)

Re: Castilla Thread
Why are you Mad Adit?
Arsenal has great track record when it comes to developing youngsters. He will build up his physical attributes as well as the technical side of his game, and if Jose is that great, he will make a big splash.
It's win win for us, we know he is going to be taken care of in england, and when he gets good, we will be right there for the picking.
If Pozo joins Arsenal as well, i will be very happy.

Re: Castilla Thread
Actually im more worried about city and Chelski,if our players go there they will never come back. Also who knows arsenal will become a successful club by that time?
Re: Castilla Thread
Successful or not, when Madrid or Barca calls, it's like a one way train.
Kids who dreamed of playing for those two clubs when growing up in Spain? not a chance they will be turned, not in this era of football.
It might not be easy to get them back, but they will go home.

Re: Castilla Thread
Arsenal wont win anything in 5 years IMO... so we are fine
Chelsea and City got money and if they want they can force him to stay... Let's say Pozo turns out to be the best player in the world, think Chelsea will let him leave without a huge payment? (not saying it will happen, but an example)

Re: Castilla Thread
*sigh* Cant we just develop our own products instead of handing them over to Arsenal or Chelsea or Getafe or wherever?
Anyway, nobody really answered. Its a bit worrying if Morata turned out to be just a one season (?) wonder.

I think the tactics are to blame. the system Toril has them playing is strange, I would rather they adopt the same tactics as the first team and stick Morata as the no 9. Joselu can do fine on the wing I would think, he is faster than Morata. As for the odd moments, well he is young.
I could watch Castilla games on TV on Sunday mornings, but that time is rather busy for me so I hardly ever watch them...

Re: Castilla Thread
Honestly if anyone thinks these guys would refuse to come back to Madrid then they are woefully wrong.
For these guys all it'll take is one phone call and they'll come running back.

Re: Castilla Thread
Another example of how UEFA works: as we all know, Álex Fernández was one of the best players in this summer’s U-19 Euro in Romania, which Spain ended up winning. In fact, he was so good that he ended as the tournament’s “Golden Player,” although no one bothered to inform him of that fact. Two and a half months after the tournament ended, Álex found out that he had been named as the Euro’s best player via MFC Álvaro Borja Morata Martín. ABMM saw on UEFA’s web site that Álex had won the Golden Player award, and so he informed him of that fact. No one had known – not Álex himself, not the RFEF, not Real Madrid. UEFA had only announced who had won the Golden Boot, which had gone to ABMM, as well as the ideal starting XI (Álex and ABMM both made that). In addition, the Golden Player announcement was only on the English version of the web site. Previous winners include our former canteranos Juanfran and Alberto Bueno.
