I believe Neymar could fit perfectly in Guardiola's bayern but i doubt there is any chance for him going there.

Doesn't he have the price tag of 40m, becides that I doubt Bayern would take such a risk it's not in their nature.

theres a reason that was a record breaking transfer = not in their nature, doubt it'll become a habit for them to overspend on risky situations.tuddor wrote:Javi Martinez??Donuts wrote:Doesn't he have the price tag of 40m, becides that I doubt Bayern would take such a risk it's not in their nature.

Gomez, scores every single game, gets sold.
I'll doubt this until it really happens, though. Doesn't seem like Bayern's style, also Gomez really does work for Bayern. Unlike for Germany, having a huge mofo in the middle of attack really benefits Bayern.

Aren't they both similar players anyway?

Lol no.
They're polar opposites, as far as strikers go.
Lewandowski has great technique, good link-up play, and horrible, horrible finishing
Gomez is the opposite, no technique, horrible first touch, perfect poacher.

Re: Guardolia wants to replace Gomez with Robert Lewandowski
Lewandowski >Gomez.Even though he misses a lot ,he still manages to score clutch goals like against Bayern last year in important games or Madrid this year and you look at Gomez on the other hand and he went missing in big CL games last year.Plus he'd suit Pep's style far better than Gomez.Very good technical striker imo.

Bayern has ~€138 million in cash in the bank of course Bayern can afford him. But Bayern isn't Barca & Madrid and spends more than every last cent.

Also I didn't mean to ask that in an offensive way I have no knowledge of Bayern Munich :p starting to look more into them considering Pep is going there.

@Donut
Bayern do have the cash (As Uli Hoeneß says "Other clubs go to the credit department if they want to buy a player, Bayern go to the fixed deposit department instead"), but they have it *because* they usually refuse to overspend.
According to interviews, Uli Hoeneß was not amused he had to shell out the 40 mio for Javi Martínez, he actually admitted that they normally wouldn't have spent more than 15-25 mio Euros for him if it hadn't been for this exit clause.
On the other hand, they are well willing to pay well if they *really* want a player from a BL club, so if they do want to get Robert Lewandowski and Lewa wants to go to Bayern, then Dortmund probably would get around 30 mio Euros for him in summer.
The Neymar case is a bit different - Bayern had a lot of trouble with Brazilian players they imported directly from Brazil. They even decided to cease scouting in Brazil as they decided they wouldn't import any players directly from there anymore due to their bad experiences.
They prefer to wait if a Brazilian player can do it in the BL in another club and then get him from there (see Gustavo, Dante etc) instead of taking the risk of a fresh import again (the last that blew up was the Breno case - Breno was considered one of the hottest prospect when Bayern got him, too).

Re: Guardolia wants to replace Gomez with Robert Lewandowski
I usually never miss the chance to mock the glorified underwear model that is Gomez but lets be honest here, there is no way in hell a clearly inferior player and a Giroud 2.1 going to replace Gomez.

The money on the cash bank account (the infamous "Festgeldkonto") is subject to peer review at the member's meetings, so it's a matter of public record, AFAIK.
Also I remember two seasons ago, when Bayern didn't even use up all the funds Lufthansa, one of their sponsors, offered them.
They're cheap as f*ck.

About time. Gomez is awful. Lewa will at least contribute in the build up stage
