Juventus cool interest in Robin van Persie
ARSENAL'S chances of holding on to Robin van Persie have been boosted after Juventus made Edinson Cavani their No.1 transfer target.
The Serie A champions have been looking at the Gunners' star striker this summer.
But Juve have now begun talks over a £30million transfer with Napoli forward Cavani.
It is a great boost for Arsenal, who will hope that the Italians' interest in Van Persie now cools.
And then they just need to hope Manchester City stay away from RVP as well. Arsene Wenger is desperate to keep hold of the Dutchman, who scored 37 goals last season.
They are willing to offer £130,000 a week and hope to speak to him about the deal after Euro 2012.
However Cavani is on City's radar as well and there are early indications that they are willing to offer the Uruguayan a lucrative five-year deal.
Despite winning the Premier League, City could make some big changes - with news from France yesterday that Samir Nasri could be off-loaded.
The 24-year-old's City career has been plunged into doubt on the eve of France's Euro 2012 opener.
Boss Roberto Mancini is ready to listen to offers - just one season after he left Arsenal for £25m, with Inter Milan already being linked.
This weekend he told France Football: "It's not the same relationship I have as I had with Arsene Wenger. Roberto Mancini is more of a manager who studies your performance immediately. He is not there for your feelings."
Meanwhile, Bournemouth are ready to offer Mancini's son Andrea, 19, a trial after the 19-year-old forward was released by City in May.
People Sport also understands they would be willing to look at Mancini's other son, 21-year-old Filippo.
He is currently playing lower league football in Italy.

No need to rush these stuff...
we have 2 month to evaluate our options...
We shouldn't sign any striker until Euro's are finish...

I think the window doesn't officially open in Italy until July 1 anyways.
