Even though he's had a share of injuries, I'd respect him much more if he genuinely made efforts to regain his spot and showed some commitment.deezydeez wrote:gago needs to kindly leave.. he has been a waste for a long while.

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
and so.... The Real Madrid fans turn on their players as usual like a pack of wild dogs. To think I got so much stick for my comments on CR7 (but have since come to the compromise that he should be used as a forward)... but hell there is a lot of Gago hate in here. I'm sure whatever he said was taken out of context.
I happen to believe that Gago is a great player, probably still the most technically gifted CM-DM that we have. Write him off at your own peril. If he does not come good at Real Madrid, I'm predicting that he will still leave his mark on world football.
Loved by Capello, Redondo comparisons, Numerous Arg NT call ups. Gago is quality.

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
It's hard to take a year off because of knee problems and other things.... and then expect to find full form. He needs playing time to hope to find full form and, frankly, Khedira, Sahin and Alonso are ahead of him firmly.
Same problem as Kaka is having. Difference is that Gago is not in the same league as Kaka.
I don't think he'll find success at Madrid unless a) he gets fully healthy and stays that way and b) one of the guys ahead of him get injured.

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
Wait is he saying this Barca team is the greatest ever or that Barca are better than Madrid historically?
Both are far from the truth, but if its the latter its a complete joke because even Barca fans admit Madrid are bigger and better historically lol.

Nothing harmless about getting out of shape as a professional athlete. As much as i love Benzema, this was inexcusable. I understand injuries, lack of confidence, etc... but if you get fat, that's all on you.

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
In fact, i find Benz' joy riding with his car this past month just insane on his part too. What if he got injured or, god forbid, injured someone else? That's reckless behavior for anyone, let alone a professional athlete.

Lol, I was just comparing gago's comments to benzemas "incident". IMO he didn't look that fat anyways, not as bad as the beginning of 2010-2011 seasonsportsczy wrote:Giggity5313 wrote:And we thought benzema gaining a few harmless pounds was bad

And I agree, karim really needs better influences around him

He was a blob at the beginning of the season... which was amazing to me. You got benched the year before and you somehow can't motivate enough? Maybe he was trying to emulate R9 too much lol.

There is technically nothing wrong with what he said, but it's the way he said it.
he waited to tbe in argentina away from spain, to talk about the madrid fans and tell them they are delusional

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
He was already on bad form in his first season, then that hernia he got kinda didn't help either. But its his fault for not pulling a higuain and saying "I'm going to get that first team spot" sooner.sportsczy wrote:Giggity5313 wrote:Lol, I was just comparing gago's comments to benzemas "incident". Gago GTFO.
The bit where he said "the fans don't want to admit it" was harsh. He will get booed if every walked out on the turf again.

Mourinho will never let him walk out again, look how long it took leon to regain playing time and that was because of not following tactical orders. This time, its worse. gaga is a dead man walking.

Re: Mr Fragile. Fernando Gago.
My rant from another thread:
Or actually, how about not selling him at all, keeping him and making sure he never plays again until his contract finishes... that would be an even greater punishment, Leon on steroids! Do it Mou!
Looks like someone is sore he has no place in Madrid.
But Gago is THE most useless person we have on the squad list. Absolutely THE shittest, hopeless attitude, always injured, and the one time he played (fine, twice) he was pretty bad. Which is understandable I guess, but hes to blame hes injured all the bloody time. Warming the bench? Come on, he was never even on the bench in the first place, always in the sick bay. Gago just went from the 'dead wood' list to the 'GTFO asshole' list. You do NOT say this at Real Madrid, and you do NOT insult the fans. Especially after doing absloutely nothing for years.

Looks like he really does want to be sold. If he didn't say "the fans do not want to admit it" bit then there wouldn't really be anything wrong with what he said.

The part where he says, barca is well above Madrid and fans do not want to admit it, is not frakking cool.OMARz wrote:"Barcelona are the best team in history. They are well above Real Madrid and the fans do not want to admit it," Gago told ESPN Argentina.

Well argentines are more likely than others to be emotional especially when it comes to football. Very disappointing seeing that we took him from argentina.
