Kaka on the market
EC has a new piece in which they explain that Kaka is now on the market. Surprisingly, and opposite to what has been said in public, RM is listening to offers.
In summary:
-both milan clubs have shown the most interest, as well as PSG, but only Leornardo would be able to convince him. Between the transfer evaluated at top 30M and the 3 years of contract at 10M, not a deal from madrid perspective.
-other prices being quoted, lass 18M, Gago 12M, Garay 10M, Leon 8M (things might change with altintop out...or not).
-they mention that after Varane, the one that is likely to come in is Neymar (surprise). We not only have his "yes" but he really wants to play for RM out of all the choices he has, and Chelsea travelling to Brazil wont change that.
-they mention there are two unknows right now, one of which is Aguero, but his arrival means Higuain would get the boot (lol).
-the other unknown his the sale of Kaka that will have us buy another midfielder.
my take:
This is the classic pinch and salt article from EC, hate when they publish it. Only interesting bit might be kaka on the market, which we suspected already.
-the Aguero thing will piss off people, but listen, they printed an article couple of weeks ago about Perez more willing to let go of Higuain, while Mourinho didnt want to count on Benzema. In this piece they only talk of Perez as if he is still in charge, hence the connection to Higuain... Mourinho is not letting go of Higuain lol
-the fact that they might think of replace kaka can be interesting, the fact that it's not a forward is the only positive here.
-As for Neymar, nobody knows what kind of deal will happen, but i wouldnt be surprise if we struck a deal to sign him up to join at a later date, not this summer.
-Anyway, a team with Ronaldo, Aguero and Neymar looks scary, but i hardly imagine such scenario.
no mention of benzema surprisingly, so i dont think they think of the rational outlook of the team in this one. Take it with a pinch of salt, i publish it more to generate a bit of discussion, news are slow. It's gonna make the round of other medias at some point, and higgy will be announced out again...

Re: Kaka on the market
Kaka really has no place in our squad. In a 433 Ozil and Di maria will be competing for a spot that will leave Kaka as third choice. If Neymar comes then Kaka will be left rotten on the bench for good.

I'm thinking Neymar replaces Di Maria, and Aguero to CF. That's the only way they would need both

Kaka is being heavily advertised by Madrid + adidas lately.
Don't see him going anywhere tbh.

Mou most likely has something special planned for kaka. Remember he said that he would be our winter signing?

Re: Kaka on the market
I doubt Kaka is leaving, they would lose a lot of money on him, and he is still a glamorous name who will very likely proof himself once again if he gets the chance.
I also doubt that any club aside from crazy Man City would pay those wages
And class and looks indeed don't matter at all. Look at Barcelona.

Re: Kaka on the market
We don't really need Kaka. With the possible arrivals of Aguero/Neymar and Ozil doing well, plus Di Maria there's just no space for him. He would be better off leaving and getting regular football especially at his age.

Re: Kaka on the market
Everyone assumes we will switch to a 4-3-3, which is possible, but I wouldn't be surprised if we moved to some sort of almost strikerless formation, in which Kaka could be used at times.

I really dont think it means anything. we arent telling adidas to use kaka for sure because he is guaranteed of staying, they use their strongest adidas player, that's it.

i dont see what "hating" has to do with anything here. im not in the business of liking people but supporting madrid, simple. I like Benzema, but im not pulling punches when i criticize him, i cut no slack to anyone.
really dont appreciate the "so called madrid supporter", im not supposed to like the fact that he is in the team simply because im a madrid fan. There is absolutely nothing he did for RM, for me to think he deserves any kind of leeway.

Why would Adidas invest in this costly marketing campaign without assurances that the primary subject is staying?

Re: Kaka on the market
we do not own them anything, and we have no business telling them our plan for the summer. you still have the risk that no team will come after kaka and you will have to keep him, so the status quo is maintained. we listen to offers, but if he has to stay, then so be it.

Re: Kaka on the market
I don't think this is how business at corporate level works. It seems silly to me for R.M to indulge in such behavior.
Clubs and kit sponsors work hand-in-hand to create a marketing campaign for the season. You don't put this much weight behind a player you have plans to offload. It makes little sense for either parties.
Just off the highway next to me crib their is an absolutely huge billboard with Kaka and the new kit.

Re: Kaka on the market
That's pretty much been the company line this summer... everyone stays very quiet and pc. It's a good way to go. If something happens, fine. If nothing happens, you haven't burned any bridges.

Re: Kaka on the market
Most people buy their shirts now anyway, so even if he leaves, it doesn't really matter.
And you use your biggest players, regardless if you expect them to leave or not. Many smaller teams with one bigshot player (Example: Ajax with Zlatan and later with Suarez) still use them in their next campaigns, even if there is a good chance they will leave in the summer, because it creates more clout.
EDIT: Not to say that I think Kaka is leaving, I think and hope he'll stay.

Re: Kaka on the market
I agree there are way to many rumours out there to make any sense about what is left for us at Madrid.
I take this kaka news hopefully. It's obvious that Madrid are trying to see if they can buy Neymar now and we and Chelsea are likely the only clubs that can afford to pay the asking price. Chelsea, I still can't understand how they have money to spend under fair play rules. I think Madrid will see if they can get him for what they deem as a valid price (don't think 45M is valid). If they do sign him, they will likley leave him there until December.
What I like is Neymar in and Kaka out.
So I'm taking our remaining open spots as;
Aquero in, Benz out
Coentrao in, Mateos out
Neymar in, Kaka out
I think Lass stays
and the remaining spot (3rd striker) if filled is Morata.

Re: Kaka on the market
You have to note that everyplayer within the squad have been saying publically or through their agents that they want to stay, even Lass. But that's because they dont know where they will end up.
Lass for example doesnt know if a team will be willing to pay the kind of money he is after, so he cant announce himself out and go out to sign a cheaper contract for 4-5 years. If he finds nothing good, he will stay.
Same with kaka, if we have no good offer, he will stay.
@bill, selling kaka to sign Neymar isnt real smart for the club imo. ronaldo/aguero/neymar is an extreme situation. and there wont be a 3rd striker if that happens.

Re: Kaka on the market
I don't think you can get rid of Kaka if it's not part of a package deal. Too tough because of his wages to get a good transfer price. Might as well use him as a pawn to get a player we want.
