Back in Control
This is it, with Spuds being the fantastic bottlers that they are and Newcastle losing 2 - 0 to City we've maintained 3rd place even though we don't deserve it after such a horrid display against Norwich.
The match of the year. CL depends on it, perhaps RVP's decision to stay, West Bromwich Albion away, here we come.
If there were ever a time for Arsenal to be clinical and go in for the kill, it would be now.

Maybe play Coquelin at DM, but I don't know how ready Wenger would be to switch it up for the final game even though the change is necessary.

Re: Back in Control
The permutations are:
A win will guarantee us 3rd.
A point will guarantee us 4th, unless there's a massive swing in goal-difference.
A defeat could see us finish 6th, depending on other results.
It's a cup final next Saturday. West Brom having nothing to play for and their manager is leaving after this game, but if we defend like we did against Norwich we will be punished.
There is absolutely no excuse not to be motivated for this game. I will be furious if any players is not giving 100%.
We'll also see who can really handle the pressure.

Re: Back in Control
I feel hopeful about Gervinho for some reason. When he switched over to the righ wing in the last 10 minutes against Norwich he was a massive menace and created our 3rd goal. Really he brings that confidence next week.
No excuse for anything less than 100%, it's all or nothing here. Time to earn your paychecks Gunners. (Diaby excluded obviously)

Re: Back in Control
The same team needs to go out next week, with Coquelin at right back.
Hell, I say we convert Conquelin to right back from now on. Fast, aggressive, good in the tackle and very technically competent. With Sagna out there's only Jenkinson there, who personally is still far off from a starting spot.
Same team, just needs to show up with balls. Chesney and Vermaelen having such shit games is not common, so I'm going to write that off as a bad day.
The game is easily won if half the team shows up.

Re: Back in Control
Verminator has had a few blips in form recently but I was appalled with Szczesny but not mad obviously because beside RVP, he's been our best player this year.
Something needs to be done with Ramsey if he's to play, he needs that damned fearlessness and confidence the Ox has.

Really hope Fulham can get a result at the Tottanic, they'll be really dejected and Fulham will have the momentum and we all know how fierce they can be. Just one more game Arsenal. Just one more...

Re: Back in Control
I can always rely on the Scum to cheer me up after an Arsenal blip I might even stay tuned to see yesterday's performance on MOTD2
Well what else is there to say. Next weekend might as well be a CL final for us. There is simply NO room for error. Forget "he had an off day" and "he's tired" etc etc etc, we NEED to win, just like we NEED oxygen to live. Forget experimenting with youth and giving screw ups a 24th chance, send out the strongest, most in form team available and destroy West Brom
