Adebayor earns £170,000-per-week.
Adebayor could be frozen out by Spurs after training ground row.
If the Spurs dont want him which team can afford him? I dont see Ade taking a pay cut.
Man City and the player wages.

Even if he takes a pay cut, it has to be a huge pay cut not many teams can pay him over 100k a week, PSG or that Russian team could take him.

There is 0 chance of him signing for PSG lol, we dont do charity work. PSG is after top targets, not washed up and overpriced players (still love u Ade)

I wouldn't be so fast to dismiss the PSG idea. On form, with good service, Adebayor can be deadly. With Pastore, Nene and Menez supporting him in attack, he could be a great target man for PSG's attack. Tbh, with adebayor up top, PSG's attack start's looking a lot like Ancelotti's Chelseas teams (Drogba/Ade, Pastore/Lampard, Nene/Malouda, Menez/Anelka). It's not a perfect comparison, but the concept and roles could be similar.

It's not going to happen, because at this point PSG is looking to sign a big name striker, an established player or a very highly rated youngster. Contacts have been established with players like Cavani, Higuain and Damiao (Leonardo was in brazil last week to start his recruiting). Sure Adebayor could fit, but he doesnt have the profile PSG is after. And even if PSG were to sign a player in the EPL, they would go for Demba Ba who is a huge PSG fan and has admitted it would be a dream for him to play there.

Put it this way, Bendtner is having a better season at Sunderland

That's debatable. He was playing really well when Tottenham were on form earlier in the season. He's a target man... He was never going to put the team on his back and carry them when they began their tradition mid-spring collapse.Lex wrote:Put it this way, Bendtner is having a better season at Sunderland

As for PSG, I'm not convinced they have the draw yet to attract established, first-choice targets. They do have several things working for them, Champion's League, money, potential, etc. However, they have not yet achieved anything to show they have the clout to backup their claims. The most recent trophy is the 09-10 Coupe De France, I believe. They did manage to pull off a coup in recruiting Pastore, but beyond him their transfer conquests have been French or through personal connection with the manager. I could be completely wrong, but I don't see their "primary targets"jumping ship to go to PSG. Their best chances at landing a top priority player are Dzeko and Pato (maybe even Higauin) due to their lack of opportunities at their current clubs. I still think Adebayor is much more easily attainable and can perform the "target-man" role they are looking for.

Adebayor doesnt fit in the club transfer policy, simple as that. Old, not a goal scorer, huge wages, 0 marketability, growth potential = 0, star factor nil.

Nick is right here. While theoreticall he could be a good fit, they need the star power right now, and young players to base a team for several years not washed up hasbeens.

Re: Adebayor earns £170,000-per-week.
Brede Hangeland, the former Norway international, claimed Adebayor would be drinking coffee in the gym rather than working out when they played together at Crystal Palace, and said the striker once asked him for restaurant tips during a game when Fulham played against Tottenham.
"This was incredible ... Fulham was attacking and I was standing by the halfway line marking Adebayor, and he says to me: 'Ah, I'm hungry,'" Hangeland said. "I said, 'What?' He said 'I'm hungry. I can't wait for the game to finish. I want to go to a restaurant. Do you know a good restaurant in London, Hangeland?' In all my years, I've never had the kind of conversation I had in the centre circle at White Hart Lane."
And when the striker turned up at Palace last year, he did not impress with his work ethic either, Hangeland said.
"When we had strength training, he would sit in the weight room on a chair with a cup of coffee and a muffin," the Norwegian said. "We knew that he was being paid by three clubs at the same time [Manchester City, Tottenham and Palace] ... and he was sitting in the gym drinking coffee."

Yeqah sure . Pretty sure he did that ( drink coffee ) only once and then as he wasn't liked this guy is talking as if Adebayor was drinking coffee everyday instead of working out. When you don't like someone or when you see him as lazy you look for anything to put him down.

Re: Adebayor earns £170,000-per-week.
it's all about the environment. whilst i'm not justifying that behavior, its tough to have the same work ethic after u've fallen from arsenal spurs city and the likes, to crystal palace. adebayor could do 2000 push ups a day, run around the race track, and lift weights every weekend and crystal palace will still not achieve jack, which would only frustrate him the more......hangeland should have told us what the score was when adebayor had that restaurant discussion with him on the pitch.....i would have been more alarmed if adebayor was having that discussion with his teammate. guys sometimes just say anything to their opponents to throw them off or just out of boredom.
