I know, it's annoying. But oh well.

As for unstickying it, the same points make by both Kickster and myself a few months ago still stand. No new member is going to search for an Introduction thread in the search bar, meaning this thread would fall into complete obsoleteness. It's seldom used but it makes no sense for it to be anywhere else.

Couldn't agree more. But everyone has to start somewhere. I certainly wouldn't want a whole stampede of people coming in here flooding the place with new users and ruining the 'community' feel of the section, but one every so often to integrate into our group (Uncanny being the most recent example, and myself before him) would be welcome.

I used to be on Soccernet, as I've mentioned before, along with Barry (with whom I go back even farther), and someone there posted the link to this forum urging people to join to get away from the profuse, overwhelming, and largely unmonitored trolling seen on those boards and be able to actually talk some football. Barry had a look and signed up right away; I had a quick glance, thought the place looked appealing aesthetically, but never joined. For the next few months Barry badgered me to sign up here and I put it off repeatedly, until finally, just after our CL win and when Hazard was looking nailed on to join us, I registered along with another, now-long-gone user from Soccernet with whom I was friendly (the guy who started what would eventually become the Hazard master-thread). That's pretty much how it all happened. #AndThusALegendWasBorn
