I agree, but to be fair, he has improved a lot since his nothing season at Zaragoza.

Placing him anywhere other than LB, to me, doesn't justify his expense. I'd love to be proven wrong and see him succeed, but I won't be convinced until he does it for me.

even when he cuts in he does it with the left

and if someone attacks his side he will have to defend with his not so favourable foot and fail big time and people will start jumping on the one-timer train/bandwagon

id rather we nurture him to be the best at something he has already started to adapt to, than put him on a wing we know he will fail because of his unfamiliarity with it(we know how that fared when he was introduced as a left back from left wing)

Well its not uncommon for a left footed winger to play on the right. I think wingers should always play on the opposite side to their preferred foot.

If you watched him for Benfica like I have you will notice he has alot of trouble with players cutting in on his flank, even in the qualifiers you can see it, in the recent game for Portugal for example they got past him quite a few times.

Marcelo is by far the better player atm, but maybe Jose wants another pet project. Coentrao is quite excellant at going forward so maybe that's what Jose is looking for.

I watch coentrao day in and day out and i really don't know what your talking about? Get's destroyed by decent opposition? He had hulk in his pocket for most of the porto-benfica games except for 5-0. And he didn't even play Left back that game.

its easier for a winger to switch wings b/c they dont necessarily have to defen and especially not with their weaker fooot

Lol. If I say benzema is better stylistically and in terms of talent than Higuain, I'm biased. When I post statistics, numbers don't mean everything. When I point out that benz ovcame just as much adversity as anyone, I'm overstating things. Etc.
