According to AS. Wonder if Coentrao is going to push for it since it seems like he's buried as a floating player with Madrid. I guess City is not happy with Clichy.

It's actually AS reporting this without quoting some UK or other bs source... so it seems a bit more legit. At least, i couldn't see a source on the article.

I would be shocked if City didn't offer top money for several of the top fullbacks. They are weak on the left side defensively.

Really wonder how Coentrao takes it... it really makes sense for him to play elsewhere. His career is at a dead end at LB in Madrid with Marcelo.

I just can't see anything in this. As previously mentioned, spending such an amount on Coentrao had to be justified and it would look like a real lack of judgment if he is sold so soon after signing.

Coentrao knew about Marcelo before he arrived here, so it's crazy to think he will depart for that very reason.

Nope I'd rather keep him very important to have a solid WC back up and rotation for Marcelo who is also versatile enough to supplement the midfield

I called it "interesting bs"... i place no credibility on it. However, knowing City, i wouldn't be surprised if they put in a bid. They are not very good in the LB position despite Clichy and Kolorov. They've both been very meh.

I just don't get it. We could've signed the best RB in the world with 30 million and had Arbeloa to back up both the right and left side. For example, go offer 30 million to Arsenal for Sagna and see if they say no... For not a whole lot more, you could've had M'Villa too.

Like I said earllier... Give Coentrao some time. He certainly hasn't been terrible, and I think he might be an ace up Mou's sleeve somewhere down the line...
We might just be in for a surprise.

Maybe there will be an offer, but I'm sure we aren't selling our best signing this season so far, especially in the winter. Coentrao generally has been very good with the random position he played week in week out.

I still don't understand how people are still confused. Arbeloa and Lass at RB and Marcelo and Coentrao at LB. And Ramos was seen as the RB at the start of the season.
