Name some players we were supposed to get but ended up falling through

essien (injuries)
kolarov

what do you guys think?

I'm glad we missed out on Maicon and Caceres Very Happy

there was definite rumors about their transfers at least, particularly tevez

Why would you think that way?Maybe if those players moved to your club they would end up superstars...So shortsighted thinking if it doesn't work out next year in another club they would 100% have failed in your club too.

At the point in time, Maicon was something we needed: A WC Right Back. Someone who had some sort of understanding of his position that wasn't Ramos. I personally didn't see his form dropping so suddenly while at Inter so to say I'm glad we never got him is something I don't agree to.

Who I am glad we never got (or to be more precise, rejected us) is Totti. I'm glad he stayed where he is and not become just another Real Madrid player (or who knows, he may have been a legend by now in our colours).

you think every player has the potential to become a superstar? really?

currently would you take any of the listed over what madrid has now?

also its not just about ability, the whole ribery scandal as well as tevez's behavior, glad we didnt get that baggage.

ya i guess its not too fair to speculate but its an internet forum open to debate.

so even though its a stretch for some people (vibetribe) i can at least imagine that signing kolarov would have severely decreased marcelos playing time thus curbing his development.
