You do the math.

So with the correct calculations it would seem that Del Piero actually DOES drink that water. He won top scorer in Serie B at the age of 31 and top scorer in Serie A the next year at the age of 32.

So, just for fun, you might say that Del Piero was a world class defender at the age of 36.

He's more known for his tireless effort and long runs down-field, but Javier Zanetti was also last year’s best passer in Serie A. His 93.2 percent pass-completion rate ranks with some of the best in Europe. He may not have the same range of passing as Barcelona’s Xavi Hernandez or Andres Iniesta, but he isn’t just making the simple passes.

Zanetti also led Serie A in most completed passes in the opposition end of the field, with 1093, ahead of players such as Wesley Sneijder, Riccardo Montolivo and Marek Hamsik.

He turned 38 in August, and will probably start seeing less time under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini, but the quality is still there.
