Not to Kneejerk or anything but Ramos is the most in form Cb in the world.

Don't know if we've conceeded a single goal in a game where he's been CB this season.

I thought Coentrao was decent at LB today. Solid defensively and his assist to Higgy was class.

Xabi Alonso had a quiet game. Pretty much the whole midfield did.

Don't know what is going on with Ronaldo! Looks disinterested and uninspired. made a couple of selfish decisions ( which don't even for into my first comment's "sentiment" ), but has now turned into what, in hockey, would be called a"back checking winger".

Lass' problem is not defense... he just can't make a pass lol.

We did a great job defensively. They got basically nothing.

Offensively, we were pretty meh. Not much going on. Ozil has been off and CR7 is having a couple of substandard games for him.

But a win is a win... so who cares lol. you can't look great in every game.

Now to Lyon!

Lass was shit in defense. Full stop.

We were pretty much meh. Our defence and Iker were good. Di Maria and Higuain were rather good too. But otherwise very mediocre.

Anyway, who cares, 3 points. These games win titles. Grinding out wins FTW!

Lol. Summed up the performances quite nicely.

Ramos is certainly the most in-form CB in Europe right now. He's been cutting out just about everything and playing the ball out of defence so well. I'm all for him being our permanent CB, even though I like him at RB. Man of the Match IMO. Coentrao did pretty well too; he was solid defensively and provided some useful width. Great assist to Higuain as well.

CR would have been flop of the match had it not been for Lass IMO. Totally vapid and uninspiring performance from CR and Lass was just poor all round. He gives the ball away far too easily.

Thank God for Higuain. He didn't have the greatest of games tbf, but he finished off his chance early on and that made the difference. Our attack simply switched off later so we definitely needed that goal or else we would possibly have headed for a draw. Di Maria also has been excellent in the last few games. I remember when he was getting bashed to no end by virtually everyone. Great to see him diving less as well as helping us win games.

Overall, excellent defensive performance and Casillas did well to keep the clean sheet when our defence was breached. Mediocre offense, mainly because of CR who was poor () and Ozil was quite meh. Can't play excellently in all games, though, can you?

To be fair, CR should be benched for a time !! He lost a lot of balls and ctrl and was sometimes nonchalant especially in the last min. He pissed me off.

Otherwise, we get our 3 pts from a difficult pitch, we have a 100% success in this October (6/6), now we should go forward and think about Lyon game wich is the the last group stage difficulty, in one hand we insure our Liderato and in the other we win our first match in Gerland

Why not !! He had bad times not in the last 2 games but from a while, it's true that he put a Hattrick but only blind can't see that CR should be benched in the playing time (Today for exp). We can try playing Benzguain or putting Di Maria in the right wing and Callejon in the left.
IMO, he needs to rest once in a while.

It's not a performance thing, its a mental issue. CR is a confidence player, it would not be good for him

I didn't expect 5 defenders if it was 4 it would have been much easier fot us.

Ronaldo should not and will not be benched. He's, certainly, aplayer who thrives ons uccess and confidence.

Having said the above I will alos say that something is going on with him right now. Here are some possibilities, as i see it.

1) Like every other human, he's in a slump
2) He's nto trouching bal enough and is consciously or sun consciously irritated.
3) #2 PLUS he's trying too hard to "stick out"

4)He's in love or otherwise distracted by a personl issue.

5) he's gone nutty and, therefore, trying "trick shots" for no apparent reason

6) He's trying way to hard to be ateam player and canabilizing "his game". The good thing is htat he's now a heck of a defender.




It pains me to criticize him because he is, easily, my fave player, but, even my "biased eyes" have noticed this trend.

He will, of course, go on to scorea bunch of goals!

Heck, even Higuain ( another ball hog ) passed up a relatively easy goal to try to feed Ronaldo!
