As for retiring the number, this is something I'll never get TBH. Players add to the number's legacy if you retire the number than that legacy is forgotten because you don't see it on the pitch any more.
I mean, I would love to have it done only because I have lived through the legacy of Del Piero, in fact, I was born the same year he moved as youngster who showed promise from small club Padova, as opposed to Boniperti who I was not able to witness, but you make the point that I was trying to.
Believe me, if Juventus retired numbers, Del Piero would not be donning the #10 and that is not because he is not worthy, but because so many greats before him had worn it to the extent that it deserved it to be retired, but it was not, because the continuity has to go on. It will hurt, yes, but it has to happen.
Milan fans lost Maldini, Real Madrid fans lost Raul, and Juventus fans will unfortunately have to lose Del Piero. I cried when Nedved left and I will cry even more. Hope to be at his last game in Torino and give him the farewell he deserves. God Bless you Alessandro Del Piero.

Check up the Scudetto counts please, oh, and do not forget to incorporate the Ballon d'Ors, contribution to the most successful national team in Europe and arguably in the world, as well as the amount of players who make the Starting XI.
Thanks.
Oh shit adding all those up is some serious math, just tell me did we win?
And you are very much welcome my good friend, see how we can get along just great

Good point, but thats why its not just given to any player, in other words is ADP woth that compramisation?
Another way to look at it is; do you beleive ADP has given enough to Juventus for kids to say after 10-20yrs from now why no one wears No.10 in Juventus and then for them to start hearing all about ADP and what he did for the club and what kind of legend he is?
A typical example is if No.9 was retired for Boniperti, will there be any Juve fan wondering what was his number, or who was he in the first place?

Pheniox didn't even know what defending was. The thing is, if Sydney want to win, you simply give the ball to ADP more and give more touches on the ball. With some good players around who can keep possession, Sydney should be creating more chances and scoring more especially with the add-ins of Tiago, Griffiths and Culina.
The defense needs to more stable more if they want more points...

Heard a rumour about this. He won't go. He has said plenty of times that he will stay.
Great performance yesterday. Once again, when Sydney give the ball more to ADP, you know that chances will be created.

Re: Alessandro Del Piero
Too bad he plays for shitney FC, he really didn't do himself any favors heading to that club. Surprised considering the squad they have. I hate that he plays for east Sydney, he deserves so much better then them.
