Which is better, to score 3 goals in one game, to score 1 goal in every one of 3 games (3 goals total), or to score an important (winning) goal every 3 games, but only that goal?

They can be... they happen very often. My idol Cavani, does it a lot. Very Happy

So when he has a hattrick, I'm happy, but not puzzeled by it. If it was a rare thing then it would not be overrated and more exciting.

I'd have to say that it all depends on the situation itself.

If a player scores the 4th, 5th and 6th goal in a 6-0 thrashing, then the hat-trick may not be as important as some like to make out; however if the hat-trick is when his team is 2-0 down, then it would be of greater importance.

Basically, to give your question an answer, it all depends on the situation itself.
