Not only did he score a nice goal he was also the standout performer giving Argentina it's only glimpse of creativity and chance creation. Man of the match. (Well, at least until Iturbe arrived).

Lamela has received his Spanish passport. He will therefore not be taking up a non-EU spot (currently occupied by Simplicio and Barusso).

Good stuff.

Look forward to seeing him tonight against England.

Hope he lights it up again.

An overall quiet performance because he was carrying an injury, and at times looked like he was suffering during the match. That being said, there were a few glimpses of true class and on another day would've scored. He also did a very good job at placing corner kicks, 2 of which the captain Pezzella (CB) missed horribly in spite of being in a great position to score them.

Rumor has it he will not play the next match because of this injury, but should be able to play the next.

Watched the game... not really a spectacular one but Lamela's delivery was quite good.

Everyone disagreed with me in the other section, Lamela is the next big thing. you guys are so lucky !

Maybe it's for the best,look at it this way he'll be able to get some rest after that long hard season with River and this WC..
