The most hated man in Germany
More banners in the Bundesliga today...

This time the Union Berlin Wolfsburg match has been stopped due to a banner in the home end.

All Bundesliga teams won in their respective games in Europe. Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Bayern, Leipzig already through, only Dortmund have a tough game coming up in Paris.
Not bad at all even if Dortmund get eliminated.

Terrible old man, thinks he owns "his stadium", acts like a feudal lord, the fucking SOB can get fucked
Last months, in the cup, Hertha's Torunarigha was the target of loud racist insults, not only did they not stop the game, they also sent him off with 2 yellows a while after
But if billionaire Dietmar Hopp is insulted, the whole league comes to a stand still.
Amazing.
Fuck him. Prick. And fuck the DFB.

But wait, it would appear the whole Bayern organization and even the Bayern players are 100% behind him.
so 1-1 at the half in the Pretenders Derby, loser wins the Pretenders crown, stats make me think it has been even match so far.

Statement by the Bayern Ultras to the hot topic of the last days - their displaying a banner insulting Hopp, and the insuing game interruption as well as the astonishing medial and public uproar.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 19/20
The crazy thing to me is that had he pulled this stuff in the US, he'd be met with collective shrugs. That's how privatized and corporatized literally all of our sports leagues and teams are here. It's why the pro soccer team here in Detroit refuses to join MLS.
Stuff like this is why I admire the Bundesliga and why it's among my favorite leagues to watch. It is holistically ethical at pretty much all levels and in all aspects of the sport. They put the sport first and the money made from it a firm second. That type of ethical uniformity is rare and very impressive.

I’ve been switching back and forth between this match and the one between Barcelona and Real Sociedad, so I missed the goal. Just saw the replay. Really poor first touch by Hazard, I don’t know how he managed to score after that

Haaland lying down in pain. Probably injured before the international break, that would be typical. Hakimi scores despite another horrible first touch.

Leipzig drop pointed again, oh well, I think its congrats to the title holders Bayern again, dont see Dortmund able to catch them, would need some miracles, Bayern are so much better.

Retro shirts and Bibi refereeing, interesting.
Waiting for the retarded Buyern ultra kids to start calling 100 year old men sons of whores. Disgusting club and supporters, trying to justify their stupidity, with that ultra stupid response

Sorry, it is just a weak pandering response by a group of wanna be hoodlums trying to paint themselves as modern heroes. It is such BS. If they really want to do good, there are a million better ways.
As for the match, kinda BS too. Alphonso Davies XI saving themselves for Chelsea?

Muller puts the game to bed, yeah it is only 53 min and the score is only 1-0, but game over.
Wonder if J-Low will bring him along this summer?

It's not pandering.
The Bayern ultras have stood against racism and homophobia for a long time, they're the ones who have been setting the agenda for the club to honour its Jewish historical figures, they're the ones who have critized the club every year for going to Qatar and Saudi Arabia for training camp, they're the ones who have been sporting the rainbow flag in the block long before it became pc mainstream in football to be gay friendly, on the surface.
For the club to suddenly turn this around and pretend like they're the ones fighting the good fight and the ultras are the problem is laughable, disingenuous and pretty offensive.
As for the current row, it's a fight between DFB and ultras of all clubs, in which the Hopp has become this bizarre Jesus Christ persona, by the DFB and the public, he gets insulted by fans and all hell breaks loose.
You've had his lawyer publicly calling for search warrants, police raids etc lmao
You don't live in Germany so I take it you hven't witnessed the absurd stuff that's been going on in the public and in the media here, where suddenly insulting Hopp is equalled with racism and righ wing terrorism, both of which have actually been belittled and trivialized by politicians, media, and the sports establishment in the past.
Anyway, Schalke fans called Neuer a Hurensohn last game too, as they would, and of course the game was not interrupted. Had they called Hopp a Hurensohn, the game would have been called off, the police would have been called to investigate, and 100 newspaper op-eds written about the state of our civil discourse and the danger of envy, hatred and negative emotion
You can judge the do-goodery of football ultras any way you want, I don't completely disagree with you, but in this case I'm 100% with them

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 19/20
Augsburg robbed by the flag, also had a couple of good chances previously, too bad, the title race is now over.
I have not heard of the Bayern Ultras being so altruistic, I think you are confusing them with the St Pauli fans.

Bundesliga is coming back!
— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) May 6, 2020
The German Football League (DFL) will convene with clubs Thursday to discuss an exact date of return. pic.twitter.com/Fp2f6knUd5
2nd half of May is what I kept seeing on my twitter feed for this. If so, that's remarkable, but unsurprising given how well Germany have handled the virus.
Looks like we're all gonna be Buli fans for a while.

I think it's quite a fun league. Even the midtable and lower table matches are watchable to me.
