Valencia v Real Mehdrid

I want to say Valencia has been poor this year and we should bury them... but when you look at the standings, they're only 3 points behind us lol.

Since the game is at Madrid, I say we have a slight edge. They're just as shit in the front 3 as we are too.

I'm leaning a little bit towards Valencia, but you can never write off Madrid because midtable teams are always unpredictable.

We've been quite wasteful with our chances, in general. I don't think Lucas is the only one to blame for that. There are a lot of positives to take from the first half, however. Even if we don't win this match, it's so much more enjoyable to watch us play when we don't look like the jaded team that we've seen in the majority of our matches this season.

Huge performance from Carvajal and Conetois, so fking huge. Would write more on the rest but those two performed big time.

It's always good to beat Valencia. I bet theyll try and get some vengeance on us by selling all they have to barcelona. Hope they dont even make europa

Solid win llorente good job again, might be able to give casemiro a run very tidy doesn't over do it, Valverde should get some starts he looks pretty good, more rotations in midfield would be good, switch things up a bit light a fire under Kroos and modric, Lucas looked decent this game, benzema needs to wake up a bit, Bale was OK, asensio is asensio and isco is isco.

I don't hate.  We're shit.  Glad we won but that doesn't make us any less shit by madrid standards.

Midfield was good in first half and poor in the second.  

Our attack was poor throughout.

Defense was good with the fullbacks playing especially well and the CBs holding their own.  

Courtois was very good.

That said, we would have lost to any top team out there and that's the reality of it.

The game overall was a good one. Great first half, poorer in second half. The issues I see are lack of match fitness and intensity, and lack of shooting in attack. Everyone wants to walk the ball into Valencia's goal lol.

Carvajal was incredible, Courtois was great too, Llorente, etc... This team has been underperforming since the start of the season so it's nicentonwin games like this

It would be great if the team invest in a proven winger and a cf, doesn't have to be expensive just decent or let's give Mariano a start, the cwc is coming up hopefully he and vini play the whole competition, see what they can do.
