The man at the pinnacle of fitness died while training. Meanwhile, my neighbour comes home drunk every Friday, Saturday and I guess Tuesday night.

RIP......I am no expert in genetics, but is there a reason these sort of athletic deaths are more common among African players ??

I guess you can't detect it that easily unless you look for it i.e run difderents tests .I remember that Thuram in 2008 or so wanted to play for PSG and they discovered that he has a heart anomaly and he then decided to retire . He went through a full career at high levelbwitj that anomaly. A lot of players must have similar problems without knowing.

this is just sad, rip. more needs to be done in terms of detecting these things. and no, i don't think one race is more prone than another, there are many things that could result in this, it seemed to be frequent at one time in la liga in the late 2000s/early 10s. can't exactly put a finger on it. but its really sad

I'm not saying its the case with tiote but we often see reports of African players saying they are much younger than they really are and it does seem like more African players suffer these sudden death problems than other players maybe that could be a factor in why it happens more to them.
