Would fit much better in the destroyer role for us than Henderson. He's technically so much superior than Hendo it's not even funny.

Yeah Paredes can be great. He just has 3 beastly midfielders in front of him at Roma with characteristics similar to his own (De Rossi, Nainggolan, Strootman).

If we are getting Tolisso... who wants Lemina? any takers? he is black, speaks french and has funny haircuts! trending combination nowadays.

After welcoming Grenier, Roma continues to be active on the transfer market. On the outgoing side of things, the market for Leandro Paredes is heating up, the giallorossi evaluate the midfielder at €25 million and there is interest from the Premier League as well as Juventus, who has always showed interest despite not starting a formal negotiation to acquire him. As a potential replacement for Paredes, Roma is interested in Atalanta's Kessie as well as Donsah, a player that Bologna is asking a lot for.
Regarding Defrel the negotiation with Sassuolo has stalled, Roma's directors Baldissoni and Massara returned to Italy's capital after meeting with the neroverdi- the outcome wasn't positive something confirmed by Spalletti in today's press conference.

did I post this a few days ago? I know I was thinking about it, but the upcoming Summer transfer window will be one of the biggest ever IMO, with a lot of big names looking like they'll be moving around. Really interested to see what happens.

apparently Payet 'never wanted to leave' in the first place. Which makes you wonder why he .. errm.. left. Idiot. He would deserve to rot in West Ham's U23 squad.

He left because Marseille forced him, they were in debt and needed the transfer fee Payet would command.

I don't see why it's weird, Marseille are a bigger club, he's home, he's on similar wages and Marseille have a big project going.

I thought Payet left on a free for some reason, wiki says he left for a mere 10M ffs

He was coming off a fantastic season too IIRC, must have been on his last 6-12 months on his contract I guess

I mean I just find it weird because Marseille don't seem the type of team to be splashing the cash, I know they have a new (shady) owner but as good as Payet is 25m and high wages..feel like they could do better if they're thinking long term

They have a new owner who has promised to spend a lot of money. 25m is not that much for his quality, he is adored over there and will serve as a bridge for other big players to join the club.

lol mole, yeah but still playing CL football is better than what ever West Ham are doing. They just replaced Payet with Snodgrass after a long battle with Burnley Laughing
