Ganso's agent: In the next few weeks we will meet with Milan directors to see if the transfer can happen

Santos playmaker Ganso is eager to join AC Milan instead of Paris Saint-Germain as representative Dario Paolillo denies the Ligue 1 club have made a bid.

Last week Brazilian press claimed PSG had made an offer for the 21-year-old midfielder who has been linked with the Italian champions and Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

However, Paolillo, who represents Ganso for the Italian market, insists a move to San Siro is his client's objective.

"I don't know where this information of an offer from Paris Saint-Germain has come from. It is pure invention," Paolillo said, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We are not interested in PSG's petrodollars. Ganso wants to play in Italy with AC Milan.

"He wants to play against the likes of Inter, Roma and Juventus and he is fascinated by the Italian league.

"In the next few weeks we will meet with Milan directors to see if the transfer can happen.

"He can leave now, or wait until January as this would give him the chance to play in the Club World Cup in December against Barcelona," concluded the agent.

Milan have also been linked with Fiorentina's Riccardo Montolivo and Napoli's Marek Hamsik for a midfield role.

IMO this is very good news.This seems to suggest we could get Ganso in the Summer instead of having to wait till January like many believe.

If we get him and Montolivo it would be a very good summer session for transfers

He seems more likely to come in January then this summer in my opinion, no doubt I want him in the team though.

I'd be happy if Montolivo and Ganso were our only incoming transfers for the rest of the window.
Our squad would have impressive depth and quality.
