Was still drunk when the match commenced.. only really caught HSV v Freiburg.
I hope both HSV and Werder Bremen avoid relegation, prefer to see the traditional giants stick around. HSV seem to have a new found hunger after the winter transfer fest and seem to not be complete shite now.

Not justifying the Hertha fans, but I can see why they were pissed off. Just like I dont condone what the BVB fans did vs Red bull, but I do understand why, misguided as it might be.
Was walking on water this weekend, so I missed the games, but Ingolstadt and werder not only winning, but winning away,WTF?????

UEFA will only allow one of Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig to compete in either the Champions League or the Europa League next season, according to a report from Salzburger Nachrichten.
if it's up to Red Bull surely they'll make sure it's Leipzig

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Last week at this time, I was sitting over a hole, drilled in frozen water, with a bunch of drunken Irishman, bavarians, Americans and french Canadians. Since then, we have had a "heat wave" on the Iceberg and I can only assume i would be sinking through some water if we were back up there. Sinking like a certain team from Hamburg, well possibly two teams, though St. Pauli seem to be digging themselves out of relegation.
On the topic of the 2nd div. it seems that braunschweig have lost their mojo and wont be coming back to the bundesliga, while Vfb and Hannover will be directly returning next season.
Wolfsburg - Bremen (Fr.)
MOTD, no MOTC! I even bought Whiskey for this game. Strictly for medicinal purposes, mind you.
Actually, a 6 point semi relegation match. If Bremen can beat mainz away, then their is not reason they cant beat the Emission Barons away. Not to mention, Wolfsburg cant score goals, an affliction that seem to be happening to a lot of teams in Germany lately.
0-1
Leipzig - Köln
Lawn Bowling Leipzig still seem to be able to do it, after a short hiccup. Of the up and coming "young" German strikers, I think the best looking prospect is Timo Werner, though that changes for me weekly. If Poulsen is out, does that Mean the Scottish Bale will start?
3-1
Freiburg - Dortmund
Dortmund could not score a goal to save their life vs Benfica last week. Am I the only person who thinks they need to bring on Goetze? Am I the only person who still thinks he is the German Messi?
1-2
Bayern - Hamburg
They call this the North-South Derby. A game between the Pig Farmers and the whore mongers or fish mongers if you like. One of the few times I actually root for the Shoe slapping, tiny deer killing, leather diapers wearing bastards.
3-0
Leverkusen - Mainz
As much as the Pretenders never show up for any game vs half decent completion, they will probably win this one.
2-0
Darmstadt - Augsburg
I only want Darmstadt to win this because I want to see Augsburg get relegated. Having said that, Augsburg have had half decent results lately.
1-0
Hertha - Frankfurt
It is hard to imagine how both these teams were in UCL spots, let alone Europa spots?
1-1
Ingolstadt - Gladbach
Will gladbach still be drunk and celebrating in Florence on Sunday?
1-1
Schalke - Hoffenheim
This probably is the most interesting game of the week, unfourtanetly I will be out playing against kids half my age, wondering why I am doing so, instead of watching this game. The good thing is I will be having beers after, assuming I dont pull anything. Hot Yoga, that is my new thing, really helps the flexibility.

Fantastic preview once again
I agree that surely Götze is good enough to get at least SOME playing time for this joke of a Dortmund team.

This preview actually makes me want to watch a Bundesliga match. Just kidding, ain't no time etc etc. Unless of course it's a Bayern game.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
This was looking so good for about 19 minutes, 2-0 up and looking like more. Since about minute 20 it has been VW pressing and they really should at least be tied. I will take a 1-2 lead at the half, but the half ended with Wolfsburg dominating, luckily they cant score.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Very lucky win for Bremen, It was one way traffic for about 70 minutes, but VW could not score. I think it was something like 25-5 in shots.
Werder now a mere 12 points from a Europa spot.
