Also the only thing I have seen reviewers criticise about Mafia 2 was the world being lifeless and empty which is a fair criticism.

Most reviewers praised it's story and accurate portrayal of the setting and time it was designed around, that is literally the reason to play the Mafia games.

If it didn't have that it would be bang average at best lol.

Accurate portrayal of time is spot on. They nailed the feel and look of the era.

Story was all right, it was nothing amazing imo though. Sleeping Dogs on the other hand had an amazing story. My criticism of that game is on the shooting.

Anyway hopefully the new one actually rectifys some of those issues, I'm looking forward to it anyway lol.

Also I find it interesting that in that leaked Red Dead map it said New Bordeaux in a Louisana type swamp part of the map.

Where as in Mafia 3 the City is called New Bordeaux and it's basically New Orleans and in the description of the trailer they chose to mention the history of the area about a civil war in the 1800s....

I'm starting to wonder if the two are linked.

Not using guns in a mob game

Now I know it's a scrub game tbh

Firenze is exaggerating, at one point you have to use guns. It makes sense, you start of as a low level thug so at first you rely on hand to hand combat and melee weapons and as you get higher up and start doing more serious shit you get guns, better clothes, better cars.

The fighting in the game is on par with Arkham. Them kung fu moves :banderas:

yeah the melee in the game is insanely satisfying is what I meant, I rarely looked to use guns, would rather do that unless it was necessary to use weapons, need to play it on PS4, heard the DLC is fantastic and I never got around to it. Been 3 years too so I forgot a lot of the game.

Mad Max is 11 quid, if I wasn't convinced I'd never play it like I didn't with MGS, Bloodborne, Fallout and Dying Light I'd probably get that tbh.

I didn't purchase any of those games either, bar Fallout 4. I've only heard good things about Bloodborne, though. Pretty much everyone who have played it, seem to love it. I thought Dying Light looked really promising based on early footage, but it turned out to be a letdown. Good thing I didn't impulsively decide to pre-order it.

Unfortunately i did get them all, i just gave up on them very quickly.

My track record since completing the Witcher 3 is horrendous tbh, only games i have played and completed is probably Arkham Knight and Life is Strange despite buying about a dozen games.

Uni coursework is filling the void. Once that's all done I'll probably start pining for it. Desperately need a new game to get into right now.

Now that RG has finally completed Fallout 4, I think we all should get together and help with easing his way back into society, starting with educating him about flying cars, robot wives and exo suits

RG played FO4? WTF?! I don't even know how you managed to finish it, I gave up on the game after a a few hours and traded it in.

I've just realized that i haven't bought any game since Ori back during the Xbox January sale. I lost complete interest in the Division before it even came out, I have no interest in FC:Primal, I've been boycotting the Dark Souls series since 2011 so I was never buying the 3rd one and I can't be bothered with Quantum Break right now tbh, maybe when it's going for £10 on Amazon after the summer.

The only game I'm really looking forward to this year is Gears 4, though I hear Titanfall 2 is coming this year as well so if true I'm hyped for that as well.

This is all without taking into consideration the PS4K and XBO1.5 possibly in the winter. I hate the very idea of those consoles more and more with each passing day.
