Think I stopped Gantz at some point years ago. Don't remember why but couldn't get into it.


And yea, I still need to transfer all my mangas from the old tablet to new one. There are about 40 mangas i need to catch up on which all probably have 100+ chapters now if not finished. Apart from Berserk of course.

Did you ever start suicide island? I don't even want to finish that because I like the setting and story so much that i don't think i'll find something similar if i finish it lol.

nah I looked into it recently actually to see if it was finished, based on current pace of translations it's still a couple years from being completed, im reading like 50 manga's and its already hard to keep up with some that dont have consistent releases, I forget too much, that's something i want to read from start to finish in a week or two

Sad sad news. Haven't seen Grave of Fireflies yet, however, the animation in Princess Kaguya was INCREDIBLE!

watching Stein's Gate atm before the new series starts, came close to dropping it but had ppl telling me it picks up halfway in, christ that first half is insanely slow though and could have been covered in 6 episodes rather than 12. Hope it delivers on the hype it gets.

Let me know if the 2nd half is worth it. Dropped it around 5th ep.

@Firenze I remember you listed Death Billiards on great anime movies list once. Did you see the series that spun of it, Death Parade?

Nah. Heard it wasn't particularly great, I think I watched the first ep. Also did I really list it on a great movie list? wasn't it only like 20 minutes long lol? I enjoyed the premise though.

I want to stop reading because it only has 80 chapters and I am already around 40.

it's weekly at least, weekly series are fine, I just hate reading monthlies that go on hiatus often like Berserk.

Around 180th ep of Gintama now. I don't think there is anything as funny as Gintama out there. Also has the most perfect cast. And the action in some of the serious arcs rival the best of animes

Can see why it is loved so much.

Stein's Gate was alright, decent story but the fact I didn't like any of the characters held it back massively for me, most were just annoying

slowly working my way through stuff that's been on my plan to watch list for the last few years lol, started anohana yesterday seems decent so far

Anohana is great. But i probably love the soundtrack the most.

Does Stein's gate get better after 6 eps?

If you want a LOL worthy anime then you need to watch Prison School, highly recommended.

I stopped watching Steins Gate... i think I'm up to episode 8 or 9. People tell me it get's crazy good, but it's not pulling me in.

teared up a bit at the ending of Anohana allow it though, I'm a sucker for sappy shit.

good series though, def not GOAT stuff but I really enjoyed it

If you are watching old animes then please watch GTO.

maybe..I prefer reading and GTO has been high on my list for years but the quality of the translations online since it's an old series is borderline unreadable..I'm going through the list of stuff that's been on the agenda for years, gonna watch Shinsekai Yori after GoW.

@MaraVilla started watching Megalo based on that OST, seems great so far..hope it delivers. Like the throwback animation and OST. Champloo vibes.

Manga>Anime usually but in GTO case you really should watch it instead.


Remember dropping Shinsekai Yori after 6 episodes. Trash IMO. But it's rated godly by most anime fans.

This is a really cool project i found from One Piece fans for One piece fans who compressed the anime into a more direct adaptation of the manga. They cut episodes together removing fillers, redundant scenes (god i hate this) etc... good way to get the essential One Piece experience in a few hours.
