Big news for Sony overall since the games are going to be exclusive.

Let's see what he makes. Will be weird to see him make a different game after doing 20+ years of MGS. He's talented enough to make it work but expectations will be high

Most likely they'll get back Del Toro and collaborate on something imo, Kojima is huge movie fanatic (Japanese Freeza tbh) and he always said that he wanted to collaborate with a movie director

£19, I had to send my copy of Type-0 back, bought it for £7 pre-owned, disc kept saying unreadable at the title menu :facepalm:

, so I want something else to play, was between Until Dawn or Mad Max

Mad Max looks really good but apparently once you've played the first couple of hours it's basically rinse and repeat for the entire game. Was also looking at Just Cause 3 but didn't want a really game, plus I hear it runs terribly on consoles.

To be honest, talks with Sony could mean many things. Even something as simple as his next game being on PS4 first and coming to Xbox later.

We'll have to wait and see, I am certain that he won't be completely independent though.

I've played Just Cause 3 for a few hours, and my description of the game would be very similar to how you described Mad Max. Just Cause 3 is all about moving around and causing chaos. There's a story to the game, but I had absolutely 0 interest in it. Slinging yourself around like spiderman and using the grappling hook to cause creative destruction was really fun for a while, but for some reason they made it so that you have to grind and spend ability points on really fundamental/basic actions, like being able to untie yourself from the grappling hook to prevent certain death. Really odd decision by the developer scratch

The game is fun, once you've unlocked the actions that make roaming around and destroying things in the world of Just Cause 3 fun. There's not much else there to keep you interested in the game, though.

installed it, loaded it up then never played it again

I might try FFX-X2 at some point, I played for 30 mins on PS VITA which didn't help, but I'm not a fan of turn based combat.

think I'll only ever touch another AC again if it has an interesting setting like Black Flag did, something unique to the series. Maybe if they go to China or Japan.

Update: Sony Computer Entertainment has published an FAQ regarding its recently announced partnership with Hideo Kojima and his nascent Kojima Productions development studio. The FAQ addresses a variety of questions, bringing to light a few new details.

The FAQ (click on the source link below for the full transcript) outlines that Kojima Productions' first project as part of the partnership is a timed PS4 exclusive. After the exclusivity period is over, the game will appear for PC. Sony says it's not commenting on the length of the exclusivity period or overall deal, and whether the contract includes a second title or more. No other platforms are mentioned in the FAQ. The game's release date or time period has not been announced.

Sony is not investing in the independent studio (and will not say whether it owns the copyright to the franchise), but Sony will publish that game and "support the title as necessary."

Both sides are stressing that this first project for the developer is a new franchise, and as such the FAQ specifically addresses whether the game will "have something to do" either with the Metal Gear or Silent Hills properties. On both fronts, Sony says, "No. It will be something new," and adds that those franchises are owned by Konami. Speaking of Konami, the FAQ specifically addresses Sony's relationship with Konami going forward, but Sony says that it will not change, labeling Kojima's former company as "one of SCE's most important publishers."

The FAQ also brings up whether the game will support PlayStation VR and/or the Vita, but Sony says it has nothing to announce at this time.
