Just played the demo agree with most of what Dany said except individualism, being stiff and can't play lofted through balls.

Dribbling has been difficult as well but it always is when I play a new PES so I'm going to put that down to me being shit than anything else.

To add my own stuff, the passing is great imo and I feel more free than last year's version and unlike last year the high pressure wasn't really effected so I struggled to break down France when Kante and Matuidi was basically blocking off the whole left side.

I was using Barcelona so Messi wasn't really effective once they got into shape and I tried many times but just got walled off into a group of defenders lol.

One thing that annoyed me though is in the demo they have not allowed you to edit team and individual tactics as well as formations which takes away from the replay value of the demo sadly.

There's stuff there I'd really like to try but alas I can't, I saw that Guardiola's inside fullbacks was one of the options though lmfao.

Because the game isn't out yet There's supposed to be a patch on day one like most games.

They're being updated when the game is actually released on the 15th iirc. They specifically stressed this after the debacle last year where we had to wait nearly a month for updated rosters and we all ended up doing it manually

Might not bother tbh, Bioshock comes out like a day later over here.

Real single player games >>> sports games imo. Except for real sports like WWE.

Have to say, i'm liking it much more than last year's rendition, the game feels great

Apparently they've made some changes to Master League and transfers this year but I'm with you. CBA with sports games anymore unless it's Football Manager.

Might get it if it's on sale or something.

Will play the FIFA demo tomorrow though for the lulz.

Yeah I really enjoyed the demo, I'm just not so sure I'd play it when the bigger games come out so I keep 2nd guessing myself.

Also how are you finding the passing? i'm struggling to get used to the pace of it tbh lol.

Passing is much harder than last year's, you have to time how long you press X so the opponent doesn't intercept, i.e. If you are passing it to someone very far, hold X longer, if you don't the guy marking will come forward and intercept.

Not sure about, but i've only played one game from the demo, still haven't started Master League yet, mainly playing CL and doing my own pots and whatnot. From a gameplay perspective, it is 100x more authentic than FIFA, the DM actually stays back when attacking, also shooting is drastically different than 16, its very hard to get goals but feels very rewarding, you cant just simply R1+O into the top corner, keepers are smarter, had about 15 shots from outside the box as Hames and none went in.

My only gripe is dribbling, its very hard to dribble, i dont even know what im doing half the time, wish it was like FIFA

Basically what's happening is i'm even overhitting or underhitting it Can't find the sweet spot yet.

Dribbling i'm ok with, i mean normal dribbling not the tricks as i never do that anyway. Mainly because i suck at them lol.

Sane is a beast on this though, i'm dribbling like a prime Messi( speaking of which he's *bleep* ridiculous) with him lol. No idea why but Man City will be OP if Sterling is even just quick lol. As from past PES we basically know Aguero, Silva and De Bruyne will be beasts.

I played the demo again yesterday. The passing actually feel intuitive in that if you want to play a short pass or a cushion lay off you really have to tap the button. Haven't mastered lofted through passes yet though. I tried playing one with my right back down the flank and it went into row z Crossing as well seems sensitive since I've managed to smash a few across goal and miss everyone.

I think they've adjusted shooting a bit too because I'm actually missing the goal entirely a few times from positions that would be certain goals last year. Putting a lot of headers over as well.

Dribbling is a bit tough but I've never been good at it anyway. I just double tap sprint for that speed burst to get away and R2 for close control if I need to turn away from someone.

Playing fullbacks centrally and wingers high and wide is what made me win div 1 in FIFA tbh. Robben and Costa on 1v1s and if I won the duel I'd cross it to Muller or Lewa. Most of my goals came from crosses.

Haven't downloaded the PES demo. I'll probably do so sometime next week.

Unfortunately the tactical options are locked in the demo for some weird reason. ( some of them are not even there like Gegenpress is in the main game for example)

It really annoys me because, there would be so much replayability with the demo i can't be arsed to bother with.

I can look at them but it doesn't let them change it, all of them are presets as well ( obviously designed for each teams play style) I know that there's plenty in the main game and i'm pretty sure you can set team and individual based ones.
