Don't know. I rewatched the Barcelona 5-0 Madrid game two nights ago and it was like watching a different player. Ran around a lot but with purpose, made great off the ball runs, scored...

Other than running around he doesn't offer much anymore.

we all know messi is the one running the club since the real sociedad game.

No surprise that we were sterile in attack with Suarez out and Messi central.We struggled to create anything before the lucky set piece goal.
It is time to see the writing on the wall.The false nine stuff with Messi central wont work against PTB teams.
We bought Suarez to play central and he should play there.Just brings a different dimension to our attack.It isnt a coincidence that we beat Atletico twice on the row when we couldnt manage to beat them once last season.
I was impressed with Rafinha in this game.Can drive with the ball from midfield but he needs a controller next to him like Xavi.Think he can have a future at the club,albeit in a supporting role.
We really need to offer Alves that contract extension.Montoya is just not good enough.

could of easily been 3-0 in first half let alone we were half b team and almost zero intensity.

suarez offers so little since he has been moved centrally other then making runs he has been a disappointment.

is suarez an improvement to pedro or munir? sure.. but at the moment who isn't.

Suarez offers a lot more than just movement.And no he has not been a disappointment.
Go watch the last 2 games against Atletico again.The single most important reason we won so convincingly was Suarez.
He may continue being a disappointment to you but as long as he keeps playing like he has,he wont be to me.

I agree but he needed to sit this one out. We'll need him in the next 3 games (Atletico, Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao). Also even though his presence alone changes the team dynamics positively (who doesn't compared to Pedro? ) he still needs to improve upon his touches and finishing.

I think some of his touches and link up play have been excellent.especially against Atletico.Even in the last game, when he was widely perceived to be poor(I didnt think so),he had some good touches.
Above all,he plays as a reference point.He can play with his back to goal,against the 2 CB's,and bring in the likes of Neymar,Messi and Iniesta.
They play the ball to him,a cheeky one two and we are through on goal.Even the last Atletico game,there were many such instances.Just simple logic.With him central,we can play in between the Atleti lines enabling us to create chances.
With Messi,we cant play between their lines as he always drops deep into midfield and we are left trying to penetrate 2 banks of 4.

This is an example of his imprecise touch and passing. First the ball moves a bit away from him from under his foot. Then because of that imprecise touch he has to get to ground to reach the ball and he plays it behind Neymar who now has to first beat defenders to get his shot off. The moment the ball reaches Suarez there are only 2 defenders infront of Neymar. But because of that sloppy initial touch there are suddenly 6 until Neymar can shoot. He has to improve that. Obviously he also has to score from the 6 yard box 1 on 1 vs. the keeper. Obviously he does things right as well, keeps the centerbacks honest and presses like a maniac which alone opens up space for Messi and Neymar but that alone doesn't make him excellent yet individually.

I think Xavi is the reason teams can park the bus perfectly against barca. Xavi has no risks no sudden unexpected passes no shoots instead he controls the game and it gives other team time to park the bus. Xavi is perfect game controller.but against parked busses he should be benched

Iniesta Alves Suarez were out. This was not the full barca squad. Also tired. Comparing it with atleti game is not correct. Suarez would not change much. But Suarez Iniesta Alves together would change much

Montoya is not barca quality. I have better first touch and brain than him
