Since when is a winger playing out on the wing considered playing out of position? Laughing

I mean he played either flank in this game and couldn't get any change out of both Luis and Ivanovic (two dives aside).

Hazard's best position is widely considered to be AM but he's still an elite winger so don't try and tell me he's a CM when he's spent the majority of his career out wide.

The fact that you're using that pathetic excuse speaks volumes of the gap in skill level between both players. Hazard was going past 2/3 markers at will while Di Maria was struggling against single coverage Laughing

tbf Rafael is a rather bad defender, especially compared to Filipe Luis.

If that's an exceptional game by Hazard ( Laughing

) please refrain from ever mentioning his name when talking about the best players in EPL it undermines the other real exceptional players

Nobody had a "bad" game, Rojo struggled a little but aprt from that there were no players who played bad. There were some who didn't play as good as they usually do like DiMaria or Cesc for example and there were some others who played better than they have shown before like Januzaj for example. All other players showed excellence in patches but not throughout the whole game

The way Gil is trying to make it out, you'd think Rafael was beaten regularly, I can barely remember once he actually got beaten despite Rafael always attacking while Luis and Ivanovic always stayed back defending

The best players that game were Januzaj, Fellaini and Drogba then the rest

For the record, I don't think Hazard is better than Di Maria. If I had to list my top wingers in the world it'll be:

Ronaldo, Robben, Neymar, Di Maria, Bale, Hazard, Ribbery....and whoever else you decide to add to the list.

Not even going to bother with your post considering how biased you are.

Just happy Hazard has raised his level of play this season. Our best player in all our big games this season after he was accused of being a flop by the know-it-alls on here.

All that's left to attack him with now are his statistics and straw man arguments. Fellaini and Januzaj better than Eden? Okay then. Even Neville said it was touch and go for MoTM between him and Courtois on 3 separate occasions.

As I've said several times on here. In terms of overall ability there isn't a player in the League on his level, his all round game is consistently brilliant. He just needs to develop a killer instinct. That's the next step for him to reach that tier of players just behind the two otherworldly's.

He's showed signs of being a match-winner at both Lille and in the 2nd half of last season but he needs to do it more on a consistent basis. Playing under someone like Mourinho and alongside Costa and Drogba will do him wonders in that respect.

Man it's scary how good he is. He was about 5 levels above every player on the pitch yesterday despite the penalty miss. Hopefully his finishing reaches the level of the rest of his game soon.

The difference is that the hate for Hazard is over-the-top because he is one of the top 10 players in his role. Benzema isn't so when people criticize him, it is justified.
