Going out against Bayern doesn't mean you're not assembling a great team. Top 8 in Europe is nothing to be ashamed about.

Re: Porto quietly assembling another great team
So... They have lost many of the influential players from last season. Torres, Martinez, Quaresma, Danilo and maybe even Alex Sandro might leave while Casemiro has already returned.
On the other hand they have signed
Sergio Oliveira, Imbula, Alberto Bueno, Andre Andre(wat?), Danilo Pereira, Iker casillas and Maxi Pereira
ALL without spending a single penny on transfer fee
Wonder how Porto will do. Seems like Benfica will win the title again?

I've been wondering what the guy was up to, since Outkast split up ages ago

Imbula was not free. Spent 20m on him.

Re: Porto quietly assembling another great team
A name kinda glossed over in that list is Maxi Pereira.
After like 200 games for Benfica, he signs for rival Porto. Amazing.
He is a red card waiting to happen but he could do an ok job of replacing Danilo.
Also Aboubakar is fit this season and should replace Jackson well.

Abouobakar is a good player. Think he has more talent than Jackson did.

I think the same, had injuries and never really got started last season. Has a chance to come good now.
