Reims Vs PSG kicks off 14/15 season on Friday. 19:30 BST

Monaco Vs Lorient on Sunday at 8pm BST


Obviously everyone knows about PSG and Monaco's transfer dealings so won't go into that.

I'll cover Lyon's transfer dealings so far

Yattara is going to be Gomis' replacement and I am looking forward to seeing him. Potentially a very good buy. Plea might or might not be Lacazette's replacement. But if Lacazette does indeed go then I hope Lyon buys another forward as his goals were so crucial last season.

Bielsa gives a list of players he wants and OM tells him who they want to unload... negotiate... and reach a middle ground. Then OM goes and executes. So, technically, Bielsa is not the one who's in charge of transfers. But in essence, he is.

It's a way to protect Bielsa from too much fan and media pressure. Also, his press conferences can be better controled in terms of scope.

OM is trying to unload as many big wages as possible to go after the guys Bielsa wants. It's not happening fast since those players aren't in high demand (Gignac, Amalfitano, Cheyrou, Mandanda, Mendes and Payet). In fact, only Mendes looks a sure thing. The rest are in limbo. I expect a lot of late window transfer activity from OM.

FYI RG...  i think Yattarra is a Lyon academy product.  Remi Garde didn't like him because of poor technique.  Fournier likes him.  Fast and good instincts in front of goal though.

To me, Plea and Benzia (if he gets his head right) are mich better prospects.

Fakri is the lid to watch for Lyon. Extremely talented AM.

Those who follow French League (in general) or Marseille (in particular), how have they (OM) done in transfer market (yes, I have read they need to sell before they can buy) and how do they stand ATM!

Do they have any prospect of returning to CL next season!

PSG lineup vs Reims:

Sirigu, Van der Wiel, Silva, Marquinhos, Digne, Verratti, Motta, Pastore, Lucas, Cavani, Ibra.

Interesting to see if they play the Christmas tree formation (4321) or a 442 with Ibra and Cavani.

yeah... in 30 mins.  Reims are going to be garbage since they lost their coach, Fournier, to Lyon.  I think they're fighting relegaton all season.

i feel bad for Lens.  Their budget was not accepted and they were ordered to remain in Ligue 2. But they won on appeal so their place was secure in Ligue 1.  HOWEVER, they aren't allowed to buy anyone and their stadium is deemed unfit for security standards in Ligue 1...  so they're playing all their games on the road.  No players + no home crowd ever.  If they don't finish last, it will be a miracle

So every team will play 2 home games this season against Lens?

Just to be clear... Lens is building a new stadium that will host Euro 2016 games.  It's going to be gorgeous:
