I think this transfer fee is fine, and people are overrating the effect it's going to have on Liverpool's top 4 chances.

I wish he wasn't a nutcase and stayed at Anfield that way, but I'm ok to see him go under these circumstances, and 71.3m pounds is not bad at all.

just like it was for Bale if you recall, every newspaper had their fee. The spanish papers always pushing it down, while british medias were pushing it up.

I think like the guardian 1st reported, Pool want a 100 millions, and barca offered 90 millions.

So Sanchez is not included if Barça offered €90m? Really would like this saga to finish quickly for Arsenal, even if it means Sanchez goes to Pool, atleast we can move to other targets.

Some new reports suggest that it's £63m + Sanchez. That does make sense if the fee is low imo

£63m = € 80M.

The report came from BBC North West, who said that the deal could include Alexis Sanchez, and it was unconfirmed. Which is technically true, as a deal could involve Sanchez if he decides to move to Liverpool.

Doesn't prevent the twtterverse from accepting it as true, mind you.

People clearly forgetting the age factor when talking about Bales transfer. As good as Suarez is, he's not going to be playing when Bale is still going strong. So yeah it turns out you do pay more for players who you can most likely use for a lot longer.

Not to mention Bale hasn't missed 30odd games due to idiotic decision making.
