Why is Messi considered a big game player compared to Ronaldo?

Yes, ronaldo played with a torn hamstring and could barely run. It's his fault he didn't "play well" even though he teed up bale at least twice and should have had 2 assists. When messi had this same injury last season we gave him the benefit of the doubt even all he did is run into martinez and dante

yeahh ok. ronaldo didn't lose the ball every time and he passed really well. and his penalty goal he earned himself but when ronaldo makes a good pass you guys turn a blind eye

But he didn't like i said his passing was top notch and he facilitated the play along with benzema its not a coincidence bale and co had so many chances read son this is the 2nd time ive said this

Considering the circumstances, C.Ronaldo was bad. No ifs or buts. He had a bad game, deal with it..

And you were the first one to mention Messi's performances when he was injured last season. All I did was mention that before playing bad against Bayern, he played great against PSG while he was injured..

True, Messi didn't do anything in the big games this season. That's why Messi's game against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu by itself was better than all the big game performances from C.Ronaldo this season put together, even if you ignore Messi's hattrick.

in my opinion, big game player is the player that done more contribution & less mistake in the big game

i feel something wrong if the player been labeled as big game player when he had scored 1 winning goal in the form of superb long range goal but in the same match can't pass a simple one in about 5-10 times, loss ball 5-10 times

I can't help thinking than the way they celebrate goals has an impact too. Ronaldo shoots himself in the foot PR wise when he behaves like he did on the UCL final: he barely celebrated Ramos' and Bale's goals, but he screamed his lungs out when he score a worthless penalty later. To the non real/barca supporters, that speaks volumes: he cares more, much more about his goal count than anything else.

What an incredibly stupid thread. Messi has been decisive in every our CL game this season, even without scoring. Ronaldo needs to score to have his performance considered as good. Messi is ALWAYS decisive be it by scoring or in the build-up.

Funny thing the thread is created after Messi single handedly kicked out Bayern Munich in the semi finals with 2 stunning goals (and 1 assist + 2 'pre-assists') and been involved in every goal of the three in the final against Juve while Ronaldo did jack sheet.

If his teammates don't create anything for Ronaldo he has a bad game. If Messi can't score he creates something out of nothing for somebody else.

Also, Messi is greater than Maradona or Pele. Only Madridistas still think Ronaldo is any close to the genius Messi is, hence this thread.
