Andy Hunter seems to be suggesting the €20m is the total value which includes Suso

The Anfield club’s bid is believed to be worth €20m in total, a figure that includes Liverpool midfielder Suso as a makeweight. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at La Liga side Almería.

So he joined Swansea to become Vorm's back-up?

Still waiting for some more news tbh.

It will all add up to £8 million, that's quite alot for a 32 year old guy. You will probably get one season out of him before he leaves. But if it was part of the Lallqna deal then that's smart but unnecessary business

I don't mind if we sign Lambert, but it feels a little underwhelming start to the summer that is supposed to be about adding a few CL quality players to the squad.

It is expected that should this move go through, then Dale will receive a small percentage of the transfer fee as we will be entitled to 25% of whatever newly relegated Bristol Rovers get as part of their sell on.

Also:

#LFC aim to conclude the deal before Lambert departs for Miami as part of England’s World Cup squad on Sunday. (Guardian)

We need a back-up striker, and fair to say SAS are untouchable.

Local player who'd play his heart off for us, already plays for a team with similar style, prem proven, taking a wage-cut, and will see it as his dream so won't mind the bench, definitely the definition of squad strengthening.

Aside from the absurd amount of money bid for Adam Lallana, now we plan on paying this exorbitant (in this case) for a 32 year-old Matt Le Tissier imitation? Lambert was a legend in the championship in lower and decent decent performances for SOTON last two seasons he has not even had an over 15 goal season. If he can accept the back-up role it should suffice ala Bellamy yet I'm not to excited in having our first potential signings of whom are not CL quality (let alone ever played in Europe).

Can we forward to the end of this transfer season when we are showing more ambition in our targets?

are you comfortably forgetting various reports of our interest and bids in talented young foreign talents such as Lovren, Can, Shaqiri and Moreno Arq ? Who cares about the order of the signings as long as all of them are here by August 31st. Lambert is our version of Claudio Pizarro and I doubt Bayern regret resigning him two years ago when he was in his 30s. We will get our business done, and we are building a squad competent to compete at all fronts. O, and we will always sign British players under BR because he has numerous times mentioned he wants to prove the Brits are every bit as technical as foreigners if coached correctly.

Not at all, given it appears likely that Vorm will leave Swansea this summer (potentially for Liverpool) and even if he doesn't Fabianski is good enough and Vorm in injury-prone enough that there's every chance Fabianski could end up first choice for Swansea.

The ECHO understands Rickie Lambert will be offered a two-year contract and club officials hope the transfer will be completed in the next 48 hours.

Only the sky reporting a 9m fee. Which is probably the total potential value of the transfer. Rest of the sites reporting 4 up front plus add ons.

I'd be shocked if a 3rd or 4th choice striker is going to be hitting the necessary benchmarks to bring this deal to 8 or 9 million. In the 4-6 range, this seems like a very smart piece of business to me. Good cover for Suarez/Sturridge if they miss any time, and a good option off the bench late in games.

BBC reporting 4 mil bid rejected but close to agreeing a deal. Expect him to undergo medical on Saturday before traveling to Brazil.

We still are also interested in both Lallana and Lovren as well.

Also times article (Barrett) has reported Sevilla has turned down the loan offer of Suso and want 18 mil I.e. 2 more mil added to our initial bid.

This transfer window has been the most whirlwind one I can remember. We seem to be trying to sign everywhere and every position it seems.Wonder how much budget we actually have

sorry but that's wrong thinking. 4m are 4m and looks like the transfer committee has gone on holidays and BR has gone wild Laughing This deal only makes sense if we are getting Lallana. I hope, after all this hype he can at least produce what he is doing at EPL level (although imo he will do good for us) but it feels like that quality of top class is not guaranteed with his signing.

If we get Can and Lallana, we wont need another midfielder in this window, given the condition that there is a plan to play/develop Can in Gerrard's position. After that we can straight go for the attacking third, like a winger who is a good finisher and fullbacks.

Lambert a 15 goal & 10 assists striker for 4m is a bargain! End of story! Add a die hard fan to that and you have the fine ingredients for Bargain of the Year!  Thumbs up

Yep @ fahim

Whatever angle we look at it 4 mil for Lambert is a teriffic deal . Next season we will have Suuarez Struddige Borini and Lambert as our strikers . 13 goals and 10 assists this season and taking a pay cut as well

Great depth and variety as well in striker position for the first time in 15-20 years
