The 'Who is more well known/popular' Game

Basically who is more well known world wide. I came up with this after a mate of mine said that Balotelli is the most well known Italian player essentially.
I'll start it off with Busquest vs Mascherno, who is more well known on average world wide?

I would say Mascherano as he's played in the PL and basically you gain half of the popularity by plying your trade in the PL and he was quite an important player for Liverpool too.I dont know,i could be wrong though.

Busquets easily. Started every game in the Euros and World Cup all the way till the final.

Well the average person watches international games even if they don't watch club football. Well it's hard for an individual user to give a proper response for the question, because we don't know if a player is popular or not in other countries... But in Romania for example, Busquets is known much more than mascherano, as most of the football watchers here are Spain and Barca-Real fans, even girls here know most of barca starting 11..
As for Balotelli, i think Buffon and Pirlo are more popular here, because they are known by both older and younger people..
