Has Borini's loan been confirmed? I'd like to be more hopeful about it, but I'm not... Sunderland look dire and Fabio feeds off half-chances and what's created for him. I don't think his style will flourish over there and Di Canio is looking clueless with buying so many (ex-)Seria A players like he doesn't know where else to look.

It'll be a shame if get Given. I thought Jones did well enough last season to be the number 2.

A very interesting interview by BR on deadline day explaining a lot of the things he might do with the players in. As presumed Moses on the left thus Coutinho in the Middle. Sakho providing competition at LCB & backup to LB. Ilori for the future! & maybe one more (from the sounds of it Given) signing if all goes well. . . .

Given wouldn't necessarily be second choice, Morte... We have no real third keeper at the moment since Gulacsi left and the other youngsters aren't developed enough to be trusted in the PL currently (even for a match or part of one) so Given, given his age, could easily be coming in as a third choice keeper behind Jones.

That said, Jones has never inspired confidence in me and I wouldn't mind a better back-up to Mignolet. Not sure that Given is better, though.

BTW we let go of Dani Pacheco. He joined Alcorcon on a free.

Wish him the best for the rest of his career. He loved Liverpool, no one can question that.

Yeah Art, I already wrote something about a 3-man backline in the formations thread. We definitely have the personnel for it.

BTW I'm just as stoked to have kept Martin He's too good, and loyal of a player to just shoo off like we were going to. Thank god BR and the committee changed their minds.

Secon division. They are currently first, and have good chance of getting promoted as they are one of the better sides in Segunda

I am also quite thrilled about that three CB idea. After that ManU performance skrtel surely deserved a chance unless someone was ready to bid too too too high
the second one looks sexy on paper and against smaller teams we can try it, hopefully moses and hendo can help defending at the flanks.

Skrtel will leave in January I guess. 75k wages (apparently) for a fourth choice CB is too much.

We wanted/needed a tricky, quick, and versatile attacker who can play on the wing and behind a CF... not a tall, strong, target man to play AS the CF.

Well my friend my office is killing me! My girlfriend is leaving for her masters! We didn't go for Heskey in this window! Kolo is still injured! & Moses hasn't still leaned on properly!! MY LIFE IN A COMPLETE MESS!!

Well here is my verdict on the best transfer for us this window. . . . SIMON MIGNOLET!



Simply because he would significantly improve the position he is coming in thus will influence our performances to a greater extent this season compared to the last! Sakho, Moses & Kolo might blow the roof off no doubt but on an overall team improvement basis I would opt for Simon above all the others!!!

Napoli tried to loan Skrtel instead of sign him...
