Some saying the supposed board meeting is related to that... some go further and say David Dein could be getting involved again (since he sold his shares to Usmanov when he left iirc).

No evidence of this, but few people saying David Dein has been working with Arsene all this summer on transfers. Would be surprised if true but it will be a boost if he is back handling the transfers.

That Dein rumour is way out of left field lol..I personally don't think it it will happen considering his relationship with Usmanov.

Speaking openly about talks other than Suarez is just to make it clear we're not desperate and that he's not our only option. Open talks about Suarez are because Liverpool spewed it quite disrespectfully, but it shows our other targets we're not desperate for them either.

In short, we're showing everyone we're desperate for no one. Therefore we will end up with no one.

It wasn't disrespect. It was just to see if it hits any type of clause. 40m + 1 or 41m. Didn't matter which it was.

It was disrespectful to do it in such a manner and it was also border-line against the rules (see the article I've already posted). It's basically the footballing equivalent of attempting insider trading, but doing so in the most blatant manner possible just to show off you have said information. That's disrespectful to the opposing side in negotiations. It's flaunting the supposed position of power over them in an asinine way... made worse by the fact that the information was faulty.
