Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
Maybe I just don't understand all of the dynamics of the system, but if everything that BBC article says is true - why wouldn't Suarez put in a transfer request? Sure it would hurt LFC's bargaining position, but how would it hurt Suarez? It would just force their hand into selling him, which according to the article is what he wants.
I maintain my stance from earlier this summer... If he wants to go, let him go for the right money, but above all else DO IT SOON. The available CF/SS's on the market are dropping like flies, and in another couple weeks we won't have a target to go for as a replacement. Entering this season without either Suarez or a direct replacement would be a massive failure in my eyes and would drastically change my expectations for this season, so if he's going to force a move, I'd really rather he do it TODAY.

I think we will always find many talented players playing at some small clubs. There is some reason that he is being played consistently in AJAX starting XI for last 3-4 years, also he has so much european experience at the age of of just 24. He can definitely do a solid that job for us.iftikhar wrote:The thing about Alde is, if Norwich can bid for him can you rate him too high!

after last winter window and this current window till now, I can surely say that Ayre and the scouting team has regained at least some percentage of my faith. So I hope to just recline back in my chair and relax to see the unwindings of this window.

Stupid auto-correct on my phone.
Yeovil are in the Championship next season so it'll be good experience for Ngoo.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
"This is in the future. You never know what's going to happen. A phone call could change my plans," he told a radio station in his native Uruguay.
"I am talking with my agent and I always have my phone with me in case anything develops."
He's desperate to get out, this is as good as a transfer request. I say sell him to first decent offer (upwards of £40m), I'm getting tired of him and don't really want a player at the club who so clearly doesn't want to be there.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
Except it's NOT as good as a transfer request, because at the very least a transfer request means that he would not get paid an extra several million (loyalty clause or w/e you want to call it) that's generally included in just about every players' contract these days.

Two or three clubs interested?
Arsenal for sure, Chelsea speculated, Last one?
I just hope he doesnt join an English club, LFC cant let that happen, Ill be devastated if he joins an English club.

There's ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he joins another English club imo. It's either Madrid/Barca/Bayern/PSG/Monaco/SerieA or he stays his prime with us.
Maybe I'm a little too hopeful

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
The club won't sell to another English club unless Chelsea/City get stupid and offer a fee well above anything the PL has seen (within the league). We're talking £55-60m+ for LFC to even consider losing him to a PL side, and even then I'm not personally convinced the club would allow it to go on without a transfer request from Luis.

That's what im afraid of, 50 million and Suarez is off to City or Chelsea, But wait that fee is good for the club, But im still feeling sad. Dem emotions.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
But 50m by all accounts WON'T be enough for us to accept selling him to another English club. £45-50m is the minimum we're asking of Madrid and foreign clubs... that price will be notably higher for domestic bidders.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2013 Pt.II
Frankly I would love LFC playing hard on this. Let's buy a player first and deal with Suarez later. It's not that we can't afford an extra €8 million in wage (if Suarez not sold) or the money to buy the player (before Suarez is sold).
True, it will be hard (if not impossible) to get a Suarez-quality player without CL (or even EL). So it's crucial to make our moves as we will be sitting ducks if we are to find a replacement in August.

Suárez is one big hypocrite if he joins another English club. I don't think he is, and won't join another English club. But, you never know...

Another thing is, his agent saying 'European football' and Suarez saying 'English media'...it seems the situation is unlikely to resolve unless he personally meets BR in the Australian tour

Sky sports reporting that Liverpool has joined the list of admirers of Ghana U20 CM Moses Odjer. He saying: "To be honest, I am not aware of the interest from Liverpool. I know that clubs such as Porto and Benfica are here and I have good reports from them.
"Liverpool are a mighty club so to be linked with them is a fantastic feeling. It is like a dream.
"But the reality for me at the moment is to play against France and to try and qualify my country for the final."

BR- " Sup Suarez, Guess what! We rejected a 35million offer from Chelsea, They actually thought they could sign you, Haha!"
Suarez - "Ummm, Yeah, About that..."
