Mail: Sunderland want to sign Vito Mannone from Arsenal http://dailym.ai/14MPhf3
Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I'd sell him for any price. Would be good for his career.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Get rid of Fabiansky and Mannone . Get Patricio in and Chez might have some competition at last.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I remember watching Mannone in that interview with Walcott on Arsenal TV. He seemed pretty pi**ed off about not playing more often.

Gonzalo Higuain wage at Arsenal: £125K a week [London Evening Standard]; £115K a week [AS]; £130K a week [Mirror, Telegraph]; £150k a week [Mail] [Wenger] ; £100k a week
i too wont be surprised if the final deal comes to 18-20 million on 100-110k per week..
Giroud was supposed to be 12 million then later saw it decreased to 9m.. Cazorla was said to be a 16m signing, later it decreased to 12 million.. Gervais was 11m reduced to 9m.. or is this the euro-pound conversion which is happening ?
thought Cesar too was already a done deal..EL Patron wrote:Get rid of Fabiansky and Mannone . Get Patricio in and Chez might have some competition at last.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I am unsure of this youth team overhaul going on. On one hand, its good to snap up the best talent out there. However, integrating so many kids into our system and growing them as a batch may be a bit of challenge.
I wonder if its Wenger whos also in charge of youth team recruitments, or is it the U-21/U-18 trainers? Pretty sure that we must have grades in our scouting network, doubt the top dog scouts on our books would spend much time running the rule over 15-17 year olds. Anyone have a better idea?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Small update on Higuain: (PLEASE, take this with a grain of salt only)
Gonzalo Higuain
"Our sources have indeed confirmed that a deal has been agreed with both player and club. The fee is “around” £22m. The only hold up now is that Real Madrid are waiting for the imminent appointment of Carlo Ancelotti and his sanction of the deal. Higuain is virtually a done deal.

I did like the 'Not Chamakh' part but hey it may not be your cup of tea. But I understand, you don't want to get too excited about our definite new signing yet

Geoff Arsenal @GeoffArsenal 6m
Right. Don't shoot the messenger. I asked if Higuain is done as reported by Sky. I was told. "It's close". "Rooney next". Blimey.
I can't really believe this but Geoff's reputation is really good ...

I like Geoff, but I am guessing he's taking the piss this window. He's been too open, none of the earlier secrecy. And to add to that, the club hierarchy has been taking pains to be the drums and ring the bells about our new found financial clout.
Higuain AND Rooney? In the same window? Without selling any of our starting XI?
WTF. Who you kidding.

Fack. I know what this means.
Its Arsene's last season. He's going after this.
SAF bought Judas after already having purchased Kagawa to go out on a high. I see the trend.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
No matter what, I just hope this is the year if it's his last. It breaks my heart seeing him let down because I truly believe he's done everything in his power (for the most part) to make do with what he's had and put this team in the best possible position to win again. Now that the pastures are greener with Puma and Fly Emirates money I sure hope we'll see Arsene relieved with a trophy in his hands.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I will believe it when I see it on arsenal.com /srigooner
Btw isn't playing a deeper role one of the reasons Rooney is apparently leaving MU? You expect us to believe he'll join Arsenal, play behind Higuain and get paid less? Yeah... right.
Let's just focus on Higuain
