Podolski vs Hazard

Who is the better player/signing?

Hazard by far. The only thing Podolski has on him is shooting.

Not sure who's been the better player this season since I haven't watched every Arsenal/Chelsea game, however I think Hazard's better from when I have seen the 2.

I disagree with the potential debate. Just 6-7 years ago remember Podolski was the worlds brightest young talent. He never reached the heights expected of him, but hes still a top player. Problem is he has no right foot so when hes played on the LW hes very one dimensional. When hes played centrally as a CF, AM, or preferably an SS, hes been arguably world class. Its no coincidence that before the rest of Koln had a complete meltdown after the winter break last season that Poldi scored 14 (mostly solo) goals and had loads if assists and should have even had more if the rest of Kolns players could finish.

Hazard is a great player with a bright future, but i dont think hes as good as Poldi, at least noy llt yet. Can he surpass him? Yes. Will he? Who knows. I think its just a shame that alot of Poldis potential went to waste, at least so far, because he has a reputation for being lazy and cocky. Even Leverkusen fans i know say hes absolutely brilliant when he wants to be though.

Why would any sane person pick Hazard over Podolski? Explain to me what he has over Podolski. They have similar speed, Podolski is stronger, better shot and overall finishing, better vision and passing, which he has shown he has great vision and passing of all ranges at Koln where he was played as an AM alot of the time. The only thing Hazard has over him is dribbling. Podolski is also a good dribbler hut kore prefers to use physicality over dribbling ability.

Yes, he was. He had the best seasob for an 18 year old in the Bundesliga ever goalscofing wise. And that was for Koln who he was carrying even af only 18. He was a starter for Germany at 19 even when he was playing for Koln in the second divisoon. Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bremen (who were a top side in Germany at the time), and Bayern all had bids ready for him. Many others were linked with.him as well. He was rated the best young talent of the 2006 world cup OVER messi, robaldo, ribery, etont understandh how you can argue with things that actually happenned.

And im not German. I live in Germany right now but im Italian.

Barca were never once intrested, I cant tell you that for sure.

And I also assume, various others had no intrest too.

The only reason we won that was Cristiano's diving, the guys who choose the award said as much. He was not the player Cristiano was, even then.

He's also lucky a teenage Messi didnt get to play in that tournament much, otherwise he would of lost out to him too.

Not that the award means anything, its based on a few games.

In 02, Landon Donovan won it. A nice player, but hardly anything to talk about.

I guess Gio Dos Santos is better/more talented than Gotze...after all, he got in the top 3 in 2010 and Gotze was nowhere.

Was Gotze even in the 2010 squad? If he was, he certainly didnt play at all. Pretty sure his first call up was for a friendly against Brazil. And Gio DS actua have alot of potential. Messi played quite a bit for Argentina, Ribery quite a bit for France, and Ronaldo was a starter for Portugal.

Youre unbelievable. Youre trying to argue with facts. He was an elite talent. Elite clubs had bids ready for him, such as Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern, etc. Okay, whether he was THE BEST talent at the time or not is debatable, as it is now with Gotze, Neymar, etc, but to say he wasnt an elite talent is just false. He was, and anyone following foot all back then knew it.

Yeah and Messi barely played....and he was better anyway, as was Cristiano.

Cristiano was obviously better even then, everyone who watched can see that.
