Re: Arsenal Rumors Thread
Arsenal are eyeing a shock move for young Chelsea star Nathaniel Chalobah, as they plan to offer a fast-track route to first-team football.
The 18-year-old is currently enjoying a very successful loan spell with Championship side Watford and the Blues have high hopes for his progress, but Arsenal are plotting a future for Chalobah in north London.
The Gunners are thought to be planning a move for the highly-rated England Under-21 international – who can play across the back four or in midfield – and are believed to be willing to tempt him to the Emirates with an offer of immediate first-team football.
It’s a prospect which could appeal to the youngster, who is unlikely to be a regular member of the Chelsea side when he returns from his loan spell at the end of the season, with a host of star names above him in the Stamford Bridge pecking order.
Chalobah has featured 27 times for Watford this season and scored four goals, helping Gianfranco Zola’s side to third in the Championship.

Arsenal are running the rule over promising young African centre-half Stoppila Sunzu.
Sunderland and Reading have also shown an interest in the 23-year-old Zambia international but are not willing to pay the £4million needed to buy him from his Congo club TP Mazembe.
The Gunners need to strengthen the centre of their defence and Sunzu has a big reputation after helping his country go into this year’s Africa Cup of Nations as reigning champions.

Re: Arsenal Rumors Thread
Arsene Wenger is eyeing up a £7.5million summer move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Sebastian Rode.
SunSport can reveal the Gunners have been tracking the Germany Under-21 defensive midfielder.
Rode, 22, is considered one of the Bundesliga’s rising stars and Arsenal face stiff competition from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
It is understood he would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League.
He has just 16 months left on his contract and has so far refused to sign a new deal which means Eintracht will have to cash in at the end of the season or risk losing him for nothing.
This season Gunners boss Wenger has repeatedly raved about the Bundesliga being Europe’s hotbed of talent.

Re: Arsenal Rumors Thread
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Lyon's Maxime Gonalons, this summer.
The defensive midfielder has been scouted by the Gunners and they have been impressed with what they have seen.
The Gunners are in need of a holding midfielder, as Mikel Arteta was deployed in that position during their 2-1 win over Aston Villa at the weekend even though he is naturally more attacking minded.
And Gonalons has admitted he is tempted to move abroad.
He told Spanish paper Fichajes: "If I have to go, it would be abroad.I like the English and the German leagues. They are awesome. "

Vito Mannone is supposedly contemplating a return to his home land,Italy.Mannone has been an understudy to Wojciech Szczesny for the most part of the season as he has failed to stake a claim for the No1 gloves.
Manager Arsene Wenger is looking at other goalkeeping alternatives including Barcelona's Victor Valdes and Liverpool's Pepe Reina.
And Mannone believes he could leave the Gunners in the summer.
He told Italian football site Mediaset Premium: "Future in Italy? I had a long experience here, now I'm open to everything.
"If you do not play in June are willing to go back to Italy or to try a new adventure in England. The important thing is to play."

Re: Arsenal Rumors Thread
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
Wenger has been promised a £70million transfer fund to bring back the glory days at the Emirates, with around £15m of that for the 27-year-old France international, says the Daily Express.
Cabaye has become one of the Premier League’s most influential playmakers since a bargain £4.8m move from Lille 19 months ago.

Arsenal are eyeing Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
The Brazilian, 25, is viewed at Arsenal as a replacement for Alex Song, now of Barcelona.
Bayern are reluctant to sell, though Arsenal hope a bid of £15 million will convince them to part with Gustavo this summer.

Arsenal are watching Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
The Sun says Arsenal is keeping tabs on the Sunderland keeper, who has enjoyed 12 months of superb form.
He will receive the North-East Football Writers’ Association’s Player of the Year this weekend.
Mignolet, 24, has emerged as one of the best young keepers in the Premier League and is battling to be Belgium’s No 1 with Chelsea’s on-loan Atletico Madrid ace Thibaut Courtois.

Re: Arsenal Rumors Thread
Arsenal have opened talks with Barcelona over a double swoop for Spain duo David Villa and Victor Valdes, according to Spanish newspaper El Economista.
The Gunners were heavily linked with striker Villa, 31, back in January, but the La Liga side refused to sanction the forward's departure.
Valdes, who has spent his entire career at the Nou Camp, recently revealed that he would not be extending his contract at the club beyond the summer of 2014.
Arsene Wenger is thought to be on the lookout for an experienced
goalkeeper following Wojciech Szczesny's error-strewn displays in recent months and feels Valdes fits the bill.
Meanwhile, the Frenchman will reignite his interest in Villa as he looks to strengthen his attacking options.
According to the report, Arsenal are willing to spend over £22m to land the Nou Camp pair.
