Ditto my feelings. Immense respect and gratitude towards Pep but last season hurt and hurt badly not so much because of the results but because the whole season seemed pretty much directionless from start to finish.
Re: Pep to Bayern
Fairly certain City was in the running.
Anyways I don't really understand the criticism of his choice. Top coaches like to coach top players. He went for the best team that made an offer. People seem to think that he took the easy choice, but I'm sure there's an added pressure to getting a side that is already successful and changing it without losing points in the process.

Re: Pep to Bayern
Well its not really fair to compare Tito's first to Pep's last.
Pep had a team that had won everything, more than once....it was always going to be hard to get them motivated again and again.
Tito has a mentally fresh team who are hungry after last season's painful defeats.
Not a fair comparison.

Honestly I'm amazed Barca is still this hungry considering all their core players (bar Messi) have won every top award there is to win. The only one that let success get to his head is Pique. This is remarkable and not noted nearly enough.

Plus Titles are won in May not January..... Tito could easily still f*ck this up and then its a pretty meh season.
End of season is when Tito should be judged and not now.

Re: Pep to Bayern
Mole do you realistically see Barca dropping enough points to let Atletico catch up with us? Or Madrid putting all their internal and tactical issues past them to win every game left? While I agree that the league is not over until it's over, it would be very unlikely for Barca to not win the league. And at this rate we might win it by April, not May

Oh agreed. At the rate we've been playing the Copa I can see us losing it, hopefully not to Madrid though, and in the CL anything can happen.

We won't lose the league, and winning the league is an important title. Let's not brush it off like if Tito would be a failure for only winning the league.

Nah not saying that, only that the Pep comparisons are extremely premature.
Tito has done great so far but lets see how he does for the rest of season and beyond before discussing such things.

I think Madrid have proven (and they aint the first) that winning things year after year is so hard when you have big competition.
Its a hallmark of an all time great team and thats why this Barca will go down in history. Only a handful of clubs historically have this kind of longevity.

Winning the league, especially in the fashion we are, would be fantastic and prove Tito's competence.
But the CL, not winning it, but how we perform in it will go a long way for Tito I feel.

Good point. Let's also note the phenomenal number of points accumulated so far.
