Weekend Football Fixtures - 24th-26th November Empty Weekend Football Fixtures - 24th-26th November

Some Good Games on this week everywhere.

English Premier League

Saturday Fixtures

Sunderland v West Brom
Everton v Norwich
Man Utd v QPR
Stoke City v Fulham
Wigan v Reading
Aston Villa v Arsenal

Sunday Fixtures

Swansea v Liverpool
Southampton v Newcastle
Chelsea v Man City

Tottenham v West Ham

West Brom who sits at 4th in the table at the moment faces a tricky fixture at the Stadium of Light. Even Though Sunderland have been poor, It's always difficult to get 3 points from there. West Brom have a 3 points advantage over 5th placed Everton and 6th placed Arsenal so they would be looking forward to maintaining that lead. Manchester united, who suffered a defeat to Norwich will be looking forward to going on top of the table with a win over QPR, at least till sunday. However with QPR sacking Hughes. Can the Minnows put in a surprise ?

The late Kick off is between Aston Villa and Arsenal. Arsenal would be looking for 3 points which would bring them closer towards the top 4 while Aston villa who are 18th in the table will be wanting to get something out of this game as they are at home which will lift their form and morale.

Sunday fixtures are pretty tasty. Brenden Rodgers (Liverpool) goes back to his former club along with Allen looking for a win which will take them above Swansea. However with Swansea players probably wanting to win this game and the fans who will be pretty pumped up for this game. It will be a great affair between the two. 19th placed Southampton going through a terrible start hosts Newcastle who themselves are in pretty poor form. With no away wins and 4 draws, Newcastle will want to win this game. But they have stack of injuries in their side, specially their best player out till christmas. Can southampton win ?

The game of the week in PL is definitely Manchester City Vs Chelsea. With former out of the CL and the latter in a tricky situation. Both of them will be looking forward to focus on the PL and win their games. But the main point of this game will be the return of Rafa bentiez to the Premier League as he accepted the position of Chelsea's Interim Manager 2 days ago. Can City lift themselves up or Will the Chelsea side out there to impress their new manager and get a win ?

La Liga

Saturday Fixtures

Rayo Vallecano v Mallorca
Valladolid v Granada
Malaga v Valencia
Real Betis v Real Madrid

Sunday Fixtures

Espanyol v Getafe
Athletic Bilbao v Deportivo La Coruna
Atletico Madrid v Sevilla
Levante v Barcelona

Malaga vs Valencia is probably the best game in La Liga this weekend. Malaga have been excellent this season. Both in the League and in the Champions league, but their league form has dipped a bit in the last 4 weeks where they lost twice and drew twice. But despite that they sit 5th in the table with just a point behind levante who are at 4th. They will be looking forward to getting 4th before sunday when Levante play Barcelona. Valencia are gradually improving. With the return of Banega, they are playing much better. However they haven't won a game away this season. Can they do it against Malaga ? Isco vs Banega will be a great battle. The Second top game of saturday is Betis vs Madrid. Betis got trashed by Sevilla in the derby last sunday, They will probably be looking to get their act back again. Madrid who qualified for the R16 against City will be wanting to win the game and get 2 points behind Atletico who play on sunday.

Another 2 top games on sunday. The first one is Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla. Atletico are flying high this season. Simmeone is doing brilliantly well and the team is responding to that as they are beating nearly everyone they face. They have won 6 out of 6 games at home while losing only one in the whole season. It is pretty impressive when you think Madrid are actually 5 points behind them. Sevilla are no child's play either though. They are a top team and with quality players and can cause a huge upset in madrid if the likes of Negredo and Navas are in the mood. The second top game of Sunday is Levante (4th ) vs Barcelona (1st ). Levante don't lose often at home as they have only lost once but can they hold on against 90 minutes of ruthless attack ?

Serie A

Saturday Fixtures

Palermo v Catania

Sunday Fixtures

Atalanta v Genoa
Chievo v Siena
Pescara v Roma
Sampdoria v Bologna
Torino v Fiorentina
AC Milan v Juventus

Monday Fixtures

Cagliari v Napoli
Parma v Inter Milan

Tuesday Fixtures

Lazio v Udinese

Some excellent games in the scattered Serie A this week. 18th placed Pescara hosts 6th placed Roma in a match which should be routine 3 points for Roma. But then there is nothing routine about Zeman so it will be fascinating to see which type of Roma turns up. For me, it should be a good solid win. Torino vs Fiorentina should be decent, as Fiorentina are doing pretty good this season and will be looking forward to extend their good form with a win. They are 3rd in Serie A with just a point behind 2nd placed Inter and 5 behind Juventus.

The best game of Serie A is definitely between the Champions of Italy going head to head with A.C Milan. Much has been said about the poor start of Milan this season, however they are turning things around. With the emergence of El Shaarawy, Milan are climbing back towards the top. They have qualified towards the next round of the CL and will be hoping for a good result against the heavy weights Juventus. Speaking of which, Juve secured a fantastic win over Chelsea in midweek, and being 5 points clear of Inter at 1st, they will be hoping to extend the lead by another 3 points, till Inter play again anyways.

On monday, Both Serie A challengers, Napoli and Inter play against Cagliari and parma respectively. Being 2nd and 4th, Inter n napoli will be looking towards winning their games and putting pressure on Juventus. It will get interesting especially if Juventus fail to win against Milan at the San Siro. Finally, Lazio hosts Udinese on tuesday which on paper is a pretty decent game as well.

Bundesliga

Saturday Fixtures

Bayern Munich v Hannover 96
Greuther Furth v Nuremberg
Mainz v Borussia Dortmund
Schalke 04 v Eintracht Frankfurt
Wolfsburg v Werder Bremen

Sunday Fixtures

SC Freiburg v VfB Stuttgart
Augsburg v Borussia M'gladbach
TSG Hoffenheim v Bayer Leverkusen

In Bundesliga, Bayern who are 8 points clear of Schalke face 6th placed Hannover. It should be a routine victory for them, but it's hard to predict what might happen, specially after a CL game in midweek. Schalke hosts 3rd placed Eintracht and that probably is the game of the week. Both Schalke and Eintracht are joint 2nd with 23 points. So a win either way will bring the team on top of the other. A draw will suit both but not Dortmund. Dortmund travels to mainz, who will be looking to improve their league form even more after a poor start. Dortmund are 4th with 22 points and can leap towards 2nd if they get the result they want in the Schalke game.

5th placed Leverkusen can actually leap towards the 2nd spot as well, depending on their own result against Hoffenheim as well as the result in the other games where they would want a draw in the Schalke game and a win for Mainz against Dortmund.

Basel lost 3:2 in Thun Sad

I hate it when my favourite goalies are beaten like that even though they had not a really bad match otherwise (poor Ron-Robert Zieler suffered on Saturday, too).
